Eagles OT Lane Johnson retires

[Risen Star]

[rambo2]

Lane Johnson just announced his retirement and Tank Bigsby just went on IR. They have a long laundry list of injuries.

[NeathBlue]

That’ll hurt them, especially has they’ve paid him…

Unfortunately this feels like a situation of some things are more important than football rather than him just being ready to hang it up.

[Denim Chicken]

Heck of a player.

Interesting timing.

[Kwyn]

Props to him for taking care of himself. Happy he was in a position to do so.

[Surfguy]

Great player. I don't think the Cowboys defense will miss him.

He gave them every bit as much as they gave him. Quite a career. You can bet that organization doesn’t begrudge him anything.

Lilely HOFer. Always played well against the Cowboys.

Definitely HOF. Maybe first ballot. Although id have to check the list of first ballot HOF OTs to compare.

[starz88]

Crazy that this was sudden hope he’s fine. In other news the running back they have playing qb has real trouble without him, their winning percent goes way down when he doesn’t play.

[Praxit]

...with all the problems Eagles are having. He probably thought why bother, I'm done.

Unlike a lot of their fans it seems… A lot of them aren’t happy as they feel he’s abandoning a sinking ship lol

His two suspensions for PEDs will eliminate first ballot. He even said that he didn’t deserve to be in the HOF because of the suspensions.

He deserves to be in but he’ll have to wait.

Rivalries run deep but Lane Johnson was always a player I had the utmost respect for. Just went out there and did his job at the highest level and was a true leader.

I forgot about the suspensions.

[Ironicalicon]

Their version of Tyron.

The eagles sub is 99% positive.

Said stepping away for Mental reasons, hope he gets the help with whatever is going on.
