Overton being overlooked?

Overton started taking snaps from Otito Ogbonnia against the Texans. It will be worth watching if that continues. As with most day 3 picks, they need time or get stronger to adjust to the NFL. The coaching staff must feel he can play at Ogbonnia's level or getting close now and that is a good thing. What I'm really looking for is his play next summer. It wouldn't surprise me if he becomes a starter next year. Maybe later this year!

I noticed him flash in the game. Need to see his anchor more before he plays starter reps.

Both he and Ogbonnia are beginning to make me wonder about trading Clark. I like KC a lot, but the production hasn’t been there this year yet. Is that about scheme? Maybe, but only to a certain extent.

If we could get a 2027 4th for him next offseason (or maybe even a 3rd before the deadline this year), I’d be happy with that.

This YouTube guy has me thinking he’ll be pretty good

Good review ! Nick is insightful on trench warfare.

Pro-Cowboy Fan tip . . . follow this guy for more positive and upbeat Cowboy podcasts. His shows are usually around an hour long, fast moving with good insight, he played at the collegiate level and has some good insight (not just a talking head), life-long Cowboy fan, AND has new daily content everyday of the week. I follow him on Spotify but his shows daily drop on Youtube for the visuals. SMI Cowboys. Former O lineman so has good studies there although he is a little weak on some defensive concepts especially DB's.

I think it's taking snaps from him He slid in were Bullard would have normally took the rotation I think people forget Bullard was playing really well He's also like more of a three tech not a nose tackle Ogbonnia is a really a nose tackle.

But the three tech is exactly why overton is here but he's a rookie and he wasn't seeing much playing time because of Bullard..

But the good thing is we're all noticing these things because the interior defensive line is playing very well They've gotten better every game I know the stats don't completely show it because the first couple of games really screwed it all up but they're holding running backs below average they're stopping to run better and they're funneling things outside...

I freaking just get some better pass rush from the exterior guys That's why I'm pushing for overshown Maybe after the 10 day break they'll be smart enough to realize he's got the juice to play over there whether it's full time or not I want to see it I mean I might have to write a letter over there maybe they don't see it but I think that that 'd be a good spot for him and I think the rookies need less snaps out there and to give James Houston and yes even Miller more snaps over there but it's time to make some changes during that break.

That's why I'm even pushing II think if they want to make a statement you know show the team hey we need to start playing better or nobody's safe fire Sorenson You have some time to make that transition during the ten days off maybe you wake some people up maybe you ask somebody else you know the same thing jimmy Johnson never cut a superstar but for sure he would find a guy to be a scapegoat to make the team kinda perk up a bit..

Did you get paid for this ad?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 275 lbs, I would imagine he's a situational player in this scheme, but CP may see him differently.

Well get his butt to Mcdonald's three a day LOL

Maybe that'll change but why not, a quicker more twitchy guy as a role player inside at 3/5 Tech, I forget the other stuff you can do with a lot of these guys in a 34 but in certain situations he could be the outside linebacker he played that as well but sure we got big dudes but sometimes you need some little dudes find a Cowboys version of NASCAR package Well I have to say NASCAR late because we don't have those dudes but yeah I'm sure they'll find a role for him.
