Last two weeks were almost carbon copies of one another: Defense gets a late stop and Cowboys offense goes 3 and out both times before the final drives. Should be 2-0 in those games.

Closing out games was a major strength from this team in the past. Not only were they able to run the football when the defense knew what was coming, but they also made aggressive passing calls to close out games. It seems like Schott goes super conservative playing not to lose in these situations. With a struggling defense, he cannot give an opposing team more chances to beat them!

About 25% of NFL drives result in a 3 and out.

The cowboys had 3 4th quarter drives Sunday. They resulted in drives of 14 plays (TD), 3 plays(punt) and 11 plays (td).

This offense is not the problem and fans believing they magically need to play perfect in the 4th quarter is odd.

Four TDs on five drives in the second half in the last game. Two TDs and a FG on the last 4 drives in the BAL game. There's plenty to complain about on that last FG drive vs. BAL, but this argument ("they should never not score") is just silly.

Except that isnt what he said. Why do you have to imagine a fake "argument"?

It seemed me his point was not the percentage....but the timing.

He also never said it was THE problem.

People just keep changing the words just enough to get raged about it.

the ravens game was a botchery of coaching blunders.

we should have at least gone to overtime. Parker got owned.

Honestly, get out of here with this mess.

The offense has punted 7 times in 4 games and constantly carries this team.

How about the defense get started earlier, make more stops, and possibly intercept a ball for once.

Timing does not matter, and we can have that discussion instead if you want. No matter how much we want it to be football is not a game of clutch moments, but rather a game of aggragate performance. 30+ points with no turnovers means your offense has done its job regardless of the timing.

Ultimately the issue with the thread is the unrealistic expectations for the offense. This unit is basically showing elite level numbers in nearly every category. Yes there are some small things to critique like better effeciency in the run game, but a 3 and out sandwiched between 2 10+ play TD drives doesnt make the list of things to worry about.

This needs to stop dude I mean post what you want so let me give you a snapshot of what you're missing You're asking this offense to be better than it is now and it's almost impossible that would mean perfect that's scoring on every single possession and that is not how it works in the NFL hell that's not how it works at any level in football...

Let me tell you if you haven't noticed the Dallas Cowboys are dead last in possessions on offense right now meaning they have the ball the least out of any team in the NFL and yet are the top scoring team in the NFL or one of them and scoring per possession is one of the highest not only this year but in history this is a historically good offense and you want them to score on every drive and that's not always possible..

The other side has NFL caliber players and coaches as well they're gonna make some stops this has to stop stop nitpicking and cherry picking and say we should be undefeated because those two games you didn't like how it was closed out and the truth is it's the defense and special teams or the reason we're not undefeated the offense has zero to do with it you are delusional and you need to stop picking on the offense you are cherry picking by using hindsight and going back and looking yes Oh my God they had a 3 and out you know they're the team that least amount of punts as well Kind of crazy isn't it they pick on one of the best groups on offense ever assembled because that's what the numbers are saying right now at this point And you want more you're insane anybody on this little bandwagon that we should even talk about the offense should be banned From talking sports,

seriously I mean I don't get it.. Look man I know you're not a casual but you sound like one you might even get into my super casual with as many posts about this offense as if you're personally hurt that they can't score on every drive i'm sorry you're asking Truly for perfecting us right now They're one of the highly productive offenses in the NFL and they're up there all time with the points per possession think about it hardly any punts they're scoring with the top teams right now in the NFL with the least amount of opportunities it is insane that you would even start a post like this.

The Cowboys are third in fourth quarter touchdowns this year. Top ten in yards and total points.

There’s always room for improvement but fourth quarter offense is not a problem I’m worried about.

Sometimes you can just see it coming!!

I get your concern.
against ravens it was 7:30 left. and against texans it was at 8:40 mark of 4th. you don't want that type of out at that point, but plenty of time left yet. but I get it. I would rather put the game away.

The issue is it's extremely rare to put the game away at those points. The average NFL drive is around 2 and a half minutes. This is why I keep going back to the idea that we really need to recalibrate expectations for both sides of the football. We've expereinced quality offense and horrific defense for so long we've lost what it should actually look like.

That's why I'm so irritated by these post cherry picking the offense to death as if they should score on every drive because if they do anymore that's what it would be scoring on every single drive which is almost impossible in the NFL because you're playing against NFL defenses other NFL coaches have game plans they have good players over there on the other side as well sometimes things just don't work out..

Let's summarize this again The Cowboys have had the least amount of offensive possessions in the league after four games and yet they're more per drive than anyone else they've pumped it the least amount or at least near the top And yet they want more The top five scoring offense and they want more these fans are so delusional let's just keep talking about the defensive special teams because that's where the problems lie that is why we are only 500 that is a fact..

Sometimes you can just see it coming!!
Or sometimes you're so delusional you don't understand that this offense is one of the best in the league and if they score any better if they move the ball any better they be scoring on every single drive with the least amount of possessions in the league because of our bad defense and special teams they're scoring at a high rate at a high level they're hardly ever punting and you all just want to keep nitpicking the little things that so delusional and a ridiculously high expectations would be that perfect but sure some of you I do expect it you all say Nope Nope I see some problems let's talk about the best group in the one of the best quarterbacks in the league and nitpick it to death..

Stop cherry picking nonsense when we have proof they're doing all they can in the real world this is the best you can expect from an offense with this bad a defense and special teams Those are facts the only facts..

Go ahead carry on those who keep making ridiculous posts like this you're just making yourself look bad you're making yourself look like casuals not calling you a casual but some of you are sure headed that direction of losing some respect I had for some of you in here no not you but the person who posted this I am losing all respect because you're turning into a casual with these ridiculous expectations..

NEXT!!!

Not a well thought out idea to post this. IMO
