This was first season in 3 years I felt hope starting to come back

We got duped by Eberjoke 2.0

Sorry offense, try again next year.

They’ve always been on track to be a 7 win team this year. There is zero identity and no culture established with this team other than being losers

Sure, but with the way the division was shaping up, it looked like it would be reasonable to expect the team to at least make it to the playoffs. This division should be winnable. The Eagles suck. The Commanders suck. I was a little worried about the Giants, but if the Cowboys played to potential, there is no reason we shouldn't be winning this division. Unfortunately, the team doesn't want it enough

Hope should have disappeared after this performance.

Honestly, this was the first season in 3 years where I felt actual hope starting to come back. And that's been bashed into the ground. I hated the feeling of not looking forward to a season. I hated the feeling that we had no shot. And this offseason actually gave me hope. We actually seemed to be doing things a better way. But no. Nothing changes. Just spirals down the toilet.

I genuinely don't know what to do. I'm a diehard fan. I genuinely love the Cowboys. But, at the same time, it's hard knowing that this team just doesn't have what it takes.
I tried to warn you Rusty of what was coming. As I do every year.

It is not completely our fault. We have a huge media machine that makes us feel this way. Parker was going to be a defensive genius for us if you remember that is what we were told that and Cowboys made all the right decisions this year in coaching hiring. Looks like all of that was not true.

I don't live in Dallas. I was genuinely going off of what things were looking like with us and in our division. And, like I said, I'm not even asking for a SB. I'm just asking for us to make the playoffs and challenge for a more than winnable division this year. That is as low a bar as you can have for a Cowboys team. And honestly, the defence in the first half wasn't horrible. The offense was.

Yes, and the last two offseasons I was not excited. This was the first time since 2023 where I thought we might actually make the playoffs. Do you realise how low I was trying to set the bar? Lol. I dont care if we get eliminated in the playoffs as long as we are competitive this year. I just wanted us to take advantage of, what should have been, a weaker division.

screw the team, you guys can still get all lathered up about dak and his stats, that's like a Super Bowl for you guys.

I really don't understand what gave you guys hope...or how you keep falling for this stuff...obvious holes, new DC for like 4th year in a row, questionable HC, etc, i could go on...like at what point do you say "you get nothing from me until you can prove you're different"....you can still be a fan and admit your team/org is not reliable.
New DC, D additions in Caleb Downs Malachi Jalen Williams D Winters, full offseason with Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark. Now the addition of J Porter. You SHOULD have had hope that would have made us better. It's actually shocking they are still so bad.

When the furry lad gets down on this team, it's not a good sign. You felt hope starting to come back. OK.

Russell, as long as you don't come back to Hope, Ark., where young Yoda was known as the Bottle Deposit King, all will be all right.

No sir on both fronts. A seven year old could figure what was coming this season. It's the same pattern every year. Some Cowboys fans just can't see past the okie doke.

You act like they did nothing to try and improve. They made a lot of changes on the defensive side of the ball. It's just there's something rotten there that we can't seem to overcome.

You are just playing the results. No one was going into this year thinking the defense was going to be just as bad as it was last year, if not worse.
Lol. You are also wrong on that. My previous posts stated exactly what was coming this year. Once again a seven year old could figure it out. Dallas fans not so much.

They made a fool out of us again but it’s good at least they did it now and not week 17.

Coaching matters. Jerry's culture and bad coaching doom us to failure no matter what players we get. It's sad because it doesn't have to be that way.
Blaming Eberflus and the lack of talent on defense really camouflaged how stupid Schottenheimer is last year. Its on full display this season.
