Dane: Arvell Reese is the best out of this rookie class

He’s in the top four rookie defensive players in the league in snap counts, so it makes perfect sense that he’d be near the top in tackles. The top five defensive prospects in the 2026 draft were Reese, Downs, Bailey, Bain and Styles, and Downs is playing a ton of snaps. Again, it shouldn’t be surprising that he’s near the top in tackles.

I’m not really sure what Brugler is trying to get at here. It’s basically like saying water is wet. “He hasn’t disappointed” isn’t really news. If he had disappointed, now that would be news.

He makes a good point how Downs can't compare to him.

Yes move this out of the main zone. Quickly. Our rival has a stud.

I think his point is that Reese leads the entire NFL in solo tackles with 27 in 4 games.

Downs has 17 solo tackles with 5 games played.

The reason i bring up Downs is because he has major competition for DROY. I read in one of your earlier posts that he is your choice for the award.

My bad Big Dog. Thought this was posted today.

At least Barham looks legit. Who knows how long until we ruin that guy, but he the first linebacker we’ve had in forever that fills gaps strongly imho.

I think his point is that he is butt hurt that Dane isnt crowning Down or Barham as the bestest in the history of omg

Literally no one of consequence believes that Downs is remotely a candidate for DROY.
