Logic is logic. If you don't like it is in on you. You can present it in the form of a question, so that the other person can attempt to answer the question, and by doing so are forced to deal with the logic. There is nothing Sneaky about it.
It was you, not me, that provided the premise that No Quarterback could win with this Defense. So I asked you a question, that if that is true, and the Quarterback is in his 11th year, and if we are allocating most of our resources (Salary Cap) on the quarterback that we can't afford to shore up the defense. Futhermore, we tried to shore up the defense after the Parsons trade where we used the draft capital for an immediate trade afterwards, and then drafted some defensive players in this last draft. The results being still that No Quarterback could win with this defense. So the question remains, if no quarterback could win with this defense, and we are allocating all our resources on that quarterback, why are you surprised we can't win?
And again, I don't argue anything about the Jerry and his corporate board room way of GM being bad, the coaches not coaching, the defense being bad. I am way more anti Jerry than I have ever been anti Dak. I don't waste my time getting upset at puppets because that's Jerry pulling the strings. And if you go read posts going back from me going back to when contracts were made, I've always argued that this would happen when you allocate all your resources in one place, the offensive line and defensive lines would get holes in them, because that is a lot of players to have to replace constantly, the running game and passing game would eventually get holes, secondary etc. Back then I believe I've pointed to that happening with Green Bay, except the Quarterback there was elite at the time.
And to compound to the problem, is the age of the quarterback, which decreases the likelihood of the quarterback ever getting to a super bowl with this defense as he gets older and his skills decline. I mean three years ago people were bringing up that only few quarterbacks won their first super bowl in their 8th season or later. Who are the people who won it after their 11th season? John Elway (15) and Matt Stafford (13). What would the likelihood be of Dak winning us a championship here, if we have a resource allocation problem of having a good defense and are spending all our resources on quarterback? People were pointing out back then that it wasn't logical.
I mean you got recently upset that you got labeled in with the pro dak crowd, by the people you labeled the "DDS Cult", when you grouping all of his critics in together into being this DDS Cult, whereas not everyone has the same opinions and uses the same logic involving him. I started out happy in 2016, at first happy we had Romo and a young future starting Quarterback who looked promising and was outplaying Wentz on the Eagles. I was happy with the draft, the training camp, the preseason. I eventually excepted the logic that you had to keep playing Dak when romo was injured since he was the quarterback with the hot hand and you don't switch that guy out, which may or may not have been wrong. Year 18 of Dak's Carrier signs were emerging that he may be a gimick quarterback with Defenses saying out loud they had figured him out, and at that point he was, but he went and bettered himself and became more than a gimmick quarterback. But there were other problems that came and went. Eventually, my position was he is good quarterback, who could win under a well run organization, but he is never going to win here, and that position has remained unchanged.
Can I be rude and crude when dealing with people here, sure. But then this place has changed a lot from when people could debated freely and you didn't have all these factions on the board, and people were respectful for the most part. But I tend to not show respect to people who aren't respectful to others, and where someone might of been up for a friendly debate say 2018ish and were met with automatically being labeled an Hater and told to go find another team to follow (and some of the people met with that have been Cowboys fans for longer than some of the people who were saying such things were alive) The plain simple truth is you have several people on this board now who don't like each other, because people can't debate freely without being called names. Some people have already debated their positions years ago, Not everyone on either side holds the same position. The two people on the board that I respect the most because they are neutral are Die Hard and Bob Hayes.
