Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked about Jake Ferguson’s play and potentially getting Brevyn Spann-Ford more opportunities:

“At the end of the day, everything’s being evaluated. As we look at this process, no one’s sicker than (Ferguson) about (his dropped pass that turned into an interception). We know what a great player he is, but at the same time, we’re evaluating all that stuff.

“I think we’ve proven that we’ve got really three really good tight ends. Those are the conversations that we’ll have in-house with these guys and make them understand. But if the performance is not where it is, then we’re going to have the conversation, explain to them why, show them the why. There’ll certainly be some adjustments or changes that come.

“But to be very, very clear, Jake Ferguson is a big, big part of what we’re building here offensively moving forward. He’s got a number of touchdowns and the next ball that gets thrown to him, I have no doubt in my mind that he’s going to catch it.”

Translation: If Ferg is getting paid more Jerry will not want him benched.

I see the optimism has started to crack.

Good for you.

Embrace the jade.
I give everyone a chance before I make any kind of judgement. I do that because I’ve never played or coached football. My sport was baseball. And I still have hope for the season. It’s not over until it’s over.

Lets see if the next pass to meat hooks Fergy called by Shoddy is a easy pass and catch call, even then Ferg might be looking down field and drop it!

thats a lot of the reason this team is where it is no accoutabality from the coaches when the players are failing badlly

CD worked Jugs machine after a drop 7 game

Never hear of Ferguson ....but hopefully he getting work while being bumped, pushed, etc.....

The Cowboys staff needs to visit Cowboys Zone more often.

They would get a different opinion about Ferg!
I understand and I hope that BSF is more rest but you have all three every game act you just have to put the rest up more he's not going to throw his guy on the bus for shooting but he knows the deal it's not as sad all the fumbles last year he lack of explosiveness however the only point is I haven't seen BSF do anything more than Spoon Maker or Ferson except for Bakke but where is big exposed place to me they're all very similar some block a little better some catch a little more but right now I see a bunch of TE 2s

Do not want dynamic starting tie down this Roger we don't need kittles but I'm just saying we need more and let's guess that proves he can their route the way he's supposed to and do more than we've seen out of Ferguson really in his career that I could see why the coach would eat that and none of them have separated themselves and yeah i kept in schoon, The one thing that I have seen Scoon Do it's catching traffic..

So really I room is just a bunch of lockers that kept a few passes or some cats if passes better some block better but none are standouts..IMHO

What are we in, kindergarten? Does anyone in that organization get it? We aren't buying the BS anymore.
