He's playing really solid football and making plays. I'm not sure what you want from the guy considering what's around him.
I won't say that is "wussing out".They’ve taken one safety, one guard and one running back. Zeke was 10 years ago lol. I guess man you clearly are stuck on this stance so I’ll let you have it. I can’t reason with someone who wanted Bain over Downs. I’ll just agree to disagree.
“You asked ME who'd I'd take...and I stood up and told uou...didn't wuss out. So now I'll ask you: are you in favor of the team building strategy Jerry has used over the last 30 years?”
You’ll probably call this wussing out but I honestly don’t see a strategy. I’ve seen them do BPA, I’ve seen them have a special teams draft, I’ve seen them draft a RB early, I’ve seen them do RKG…I don’t see a strategy. So that’s a tough question to ask.
Do I agree with taking linemen early? No. RB? No. But every draft is different. I would’ve taken Ramsey in 2016 and Henry in the second. Was I upset with Zeke? No. It got us to 13 wins. With Booker…no I didn’t want a guard early. But it was a weak draft and I didn’t want a tight end who early.
I don’t have an issue with the teams talent aside from the years of avoiding safety and DT. I have a issue with the coaching hires and Jerry.
And your argument is there no foundation here?I won't say that is "wussing out".
It just strikes me as not having a philosophy on constructing something. It feels like a thought process, that if applied to something else...like say building a house, would result in a cheap foundation, but high end crown molding ... average framing or roofing, but super expensive toilets and carpeting. Just a haphazard way of grabbing whatever looks good, without thinking "I'd rather have a good foundation and average crown molding, than a slightly below average foundation and premium crown molding"
But... I agree Jerry, at the end of the day... causes all the problems, including the team building strategy...and even if he used the team building strategy I subscribe to we still would have not sniffed a SB.
Can’t blame the coach on any of these..
Again...for the millionth time...not MY premise. Read back.SEA: Spent a 1st on RB and OG, 2nd on S.
I disagree w/ your premise, BTW. Bad drafting/ignoring weaknesses has been our problem.
Oh. There's a foundation alright. You don't go 30 years without so much as a single conference championship game appearance if you dont a foundation. And your argument is there no foundation here?
No. Talent can only take you so far when physically you are so much smaller than 90% of your opposition and you have to tackle them. You called it wrong. He’s going to be an All Pro someday soon. He’s playing very well. All you guys saying he sucks are just crazy.
This idiot coach should have kept Mukuamu and his 6'4", 225 lb, 4.40 speed frame on the team at deep S / CB backup which would have allowed Caleb Downs to remain at the Slot CB position. No-Schott and his coaches are proving how dumb they truly are.Just wow. He's their best tackler.
Injuries moved him from slot back to safety. It shows in the slot with a 170 lb Ready Stewart getting torched all day.
Meh. Caleb Downs got exposed big time this last game vs the Buccaneers.Where does the too small stuff come from? Have you seen his build? The dude is solid, hits hard, and doesn't shy away from tackles.
I'm always wrong? If anything, I'm always right! Now I know you are a habitual liar. Are you even married? It's got to majorly suck being married to a habitual liar.which is why I am confident since you are always wrong
Got exposed big time vs the Buccaneers. He’s literally the average size safety and his strength hasn’t been a issue.
That Polynesian physicality and strength is totally higher than everyone else.Yeah, it’s gotta be his size, since he’s pretty much exact same size as that Troy Polamalu loser that played for the Steelers for 12 years and is in the Hall of Fame. I always told people they should have skipped over Troy because he was too small, too bad the Steelers didn’t listen to me.
Time will tell.No. Talent can only take you so far when physically you are so much smaller than 90% of your opposition and you have to tackle them.
What? This idiot coach should have kept Mukuamu and his 6'4", 225 lb, 4.40 speed frame on the team at deep S / CB backup which would have allowed Caleb Downs to remain at the Slot CB position. No-Schott and his coaches are proving how dumb they truly are.
I know. He is good enough to play. Mukuamu looked better than most of the Safeties we've had the last several years. What?
Israel Mukuamu is out of the NFL.
- He was on the Panthers practice squad last year.
I'm stilla big fan....but it was odd to me he could not close on Bucky Irving.
