Ferguson is so bad

Opening day in Cleveland a couple of years ago, Ferguson to a shot to the knee that looked as if it was blown up. It wasn’t, and I don’t recall if he missed games, but he hasn’t been the same player since.

He had way more of an aggressive running after catch style than he does now. But m not saying that’s the reason, but it seemed as if the timing coincided.

And yes, Dak likes him. This whole team is built around what makes Dak happy and comfortable.

What annoyed me with Witten toward the end was him tiptoeing out of bounds and going down like a sack of potatoes at the slightest contact.
And that's against players he had 50 lbs on.
TEs should be seeking out contact with DBs.

Hands, contact balance, effort. Really greats hands catching, plucking the ball out of the air.

And that reach of the ball over the goal line was hilarious. That's a guy thinking on contact. Being good on contact makes a ball carrier.

That's a guy to get on the field.

Exactly, one of the things I miss about Witten was that you knew he'd make the catch. It might only get 5 yards later in his career lol. But he was catching it and NOT fumbling.

He's had concussion issues too. I think that took something out of his game as well. He used to play a lot more aggressively. Now he goes down once someone touches him.

The limo driver or valet guy made Dak uncomfortable and now he’s unemployed.

His influencer wife films everything and he is a full time actor away from the team. It is probably a huge distraction.
 
I always liked Ferg and defended him as a solid average to above average TE because the first couple of years he was one of the few who had that "dog" mentality. He had a pretty solid 2024 campaign going on before that concussion. Since then he hasn't been himself at all besides a few games here and there.

Hard to defend him at this point. You telling me we dont have a better TE on the team or cant find one at this point...He's been terrible
