Starter isn't a particularly effective term, but fewer than half on Dallas would start on any good defense (QW, Hooker, Thompson, Downs, JPJ, Eze?)

The gap in talent between a defense like Dallas and a defense like Houston or Minnesota is startling.

That can’t inspire confidence in the players towards Parker. It’s good they’re doing something but just shows what a clown show operation things are.

Is he magically gonna fix this defense? Not likely.

But a veteran presence was needed somewhere on this defensive staff badly.

I'd say between the meeting and this you can consider any defensive concerns a thing of the past.

Sucks we had to go backwards for this to happen but if it helps in the long run it’s whatever. Early on in my career, I was once the young upstart with potential. I was thrown out on my own because of my potential.

Early on I stumbled, and I was sent back to shadow the senior guys. Best move I ever did and I then went on shortly after to thrive because of it. Let’s hope pettine can help Parker and the team.

Not a great sign Parker needed him but if it works-who cares
