note to self, add what if to the should, woulda, coulda's.Don't kid yourself sir. If Kyle Shanahan was running the Cowboys offense, no way in hell would they have lost to the Bucs. They might even be undefeated given the talent at the skill positions. The Cowboys ran a feast or famine offense Thursday night, chock full of vertical routes that often gave Prescott no way to beat the pressure he was under. Schottenheimer mailed it in big time. The all-22 doesn't lie. I watched every offensive and defensive snap.
Of course, Dak has been soso the entire season. However, it doesn't follow that no one complains about the D.There is post after post complaining that the offense isn’t doing enough. Usually it’s focused on Dak and how we don’t have a real QB, but if we did then we would be winning. But it isn’t exclusively about Dak. If the offense misses a few plays they have failed. If the defense makes a few plays that should be enough.
No one directly says the defense is fine. But it’s still 5 threads to 1 about the offense. We tied the Ravens game with 7 seconds left and lost, and the complaints were about the offense.
Correction, its GOTI.Anyone that says this needs to stop. This is a compiler against bad teams. Anytime this offense goes against a good Defense they become mediocre.
Just stop with the “this offense is great” nonsense.
This is sarcasm!!!It’s elite. Greatest offense there is.
Do you understand the nuances of the English language? You have to understand. We really have some extremely dumb people who post here. No need to sugar coat it. Im going to call it like I see it.
Anytime the Cowboys offense is top 2, top 3, and people here are saying the problem with our team is the offense, despite the defense being bottom 3??? They're dumb as a bag of rocks, period. Thank God for the many highly intelligent posters that we DO have here, but there's an alarming number of people here with extremely low IQs.
Im surprised that they even know how to cut their phones or computers off and on. I would bet top dollars that we have arguably some of the dumbest fans in the NFL.
Im not even joking.
3rd in QBR isn’t good enough? https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/adjQBR/dir/descOf course, Dak has been soso the entire season. However, it doesn't follow that no one complains about the D.
The QB position is always the most talked about item of any NFL team.
Totally agreeAnyone that says this needs to stop. This is a compiler against bad teams. Anytime this offense goes against a good Defense they become mediocre.
Just stop with the “this offense is great” nonsense.
It is not. Unless you can build a Texans-type D. Which is impossible considering the extreme money spent on O.3rd in QBR isn’t good enough? https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/player/_/table/passing/sort/adjQBR/dir/desc

I'm simply saying that our QB having the 3rd best QBR is better than playing so so. Spending more money on defense makes sense to me, though Jerry would say he has spent on defense. Just seems like we have paid big dollars to Diggs and Bland for below average performance...It is not. Unless you can build a Texans-type D. No one said it could.Well Texans only have one win so far, so that Texans type D apparently can't do it all. I think there has to be more of a balance between the offense and defense in order to have real success.
I will say this... great coaching can elevate under-achieving players on both sides of the ball. I think great coaching is what we need most and haven't had since Parcells left the building.
All the offensive and defensive talent in the world guarantees nothing.
Crapp, more Dak stuff.I'm simply saying that our QB having the 3rd best QBR is better than playing so so. Spending more money on defense makes sense to me, though Jerry would say he has spent on defense. Just seems like we have paid big dollars to Diggs and Bland for below average performance...
There's nobody better than the Cowboys at finding unique and embarrassing ways to lose, though some of our division rivals are giving it their best shots lately, lol.We are only elite at sucking
Dak's deep throw has always been weak. Even when he completes them, how many times did the receiver have to adjust to make the catch which allows the DB to recover and make the tackle when it would have been an easy TD if Dak puts the ball on the money and in stride of the WR? More often than not this is the case even though Dak's raw stats look good because he had a completion with a lot of yards, but it should have been a TD.I just don't understand why Dak is always missing CeeDee wide opened deep. I can recall at least two times already this season where CeeDee was running all by himself for a sure TD if Dak sees him. These two should never not be on the same page.
Stats have no context. Better to throw 5 picks in a game, yet have the game winning drive at the end, over throwing 1 pick that loses the game. Lots of different examples as well. The winning drive against Houston was great. If he did that more often, no one would care about his QBR. Stats are brought up more often than not to defend what we see on the field.I'm simply saying that our QB having the 3rd best QBR is better than playing so so.
