Why do you want to make the playoffs?

That’s not what I said, if it’s torturing you, if it’s causing your mental anguish, keep hitting yourself in the head with a hammer, only you know when to stop,
Nothing to do with opinion , has to do with being unhappy.
Just concerned that’s all
Is that your backhanded way of telling me yet again to go be a fan of another team? Again?

Your sarcasm is noted and I dont really care.

You dont have to respond if you dont agree with the thread.

Really dont give a you know what.

I told you the plan.

Stop rooting to back into the playoffs and be Cowboys fans.

This fan base used to KNOW they were making the playoffs.

Now we cower and hope to sneak in?
So, you’re just ranting.

Got it.

No, I’m being sincere, I know what you went through, went through it myself, sincere , I don’t pull punches, if I’m going to say something, I’m going to say it

I keep seeing this recurring theme here about wanting to make the playoffs, and while I get it, I really dont.

Being on this forum I am convinced a lot of you dont watch other football teams play.

If Dallas squeaks into the playoffs, it will be to get embarrassed nationally. There is no amount of "growth" this defense can have this season that will help them against LA, SF, or a host of other NFC teams that run hard, and play to win.

So other than your own "fan" inside, which makes me question the word because any self respecting fan wouldnt want to just get there so they can be "right".

This team needs an exorcism and the only way that happens is if they lose, a lot, and the NFL pulls their primetime slots.

You want to know when Jerry will care? When that happens.

So please, stop cheering for other teams to lose, get hurt, just so the lowly Cowboys can sneak in to get curb stomped by SF, again.

Or please explain to me why you even want to get there. You know this is going to happen. It is not a what if.
Because it's a thing we all choose to do for fun and entertainment. I don't see how you can ever call fans unrealistic or delusional or whatever you're implying and act like the team losing will do anything to change the Jones' or the culture, and that fans should push for that to boot. The Cowboys are the most valuable sports franchise in the world after losing for 30 years straight, both with relevant and irrelevant rosters. And you think losing will somehow change this culture? The only thing that will maybe change this culture is Stephen actually making a Ben Johnson or Joe Brady type hire for once and backing way off after Jerry passes. Maybe his kids currently just go along with Dad and will step back when he's gone. Or maybe they like being involved and will continue the trend. Who knows. But Jerry going away is the only way these big cultural and process changes happen. This board of actual fans who follow the game and know the backup players names is a microcosm of a microcosm of the poeple who fill up ATT Stadium on Sundays.

As for now? This isn't the 2003 Cowboys roster. They have what should be a top 3 offense. They should have beaten Baltimore and unlike last year actually have some talent on defense. They have to get Bland off the field and get some healthy players back and so strictly based on football I do think it's possible to field a roster competitive enough to get hot at the right time and contend, and even beat San Francisco. Especially in a weak NFC east and weak NFC overall. San Francisco are a better coached team but we are perfectly capable of getting hot and they are perfectly capable of having some bad games. Any given Sunday. Would you have picked Seattle and New England to be in the Super Bowl last year at this time? Most everyone would be lying if they said yes. And you know what? If you want to argue until you're blue in the face about Dak sucking or how any of us who actually want our football team to win are delusional, then cool dude. If you want to spend all your time behind an anonymous profile on a random Cowboys internet forum telling everyone "I told you so" because you take a glass half empty look on everything then that says way more about you than it does people who choose to spend their time rooting for their team to win. Spending this much time on here when you apparently want the team to lose is a level of pathetic that can't even be touched by the most delusional, optimistic fan. You don't have better things to do with your time if the Cowboys are so beneath you?

Yes, this team frustrates me more than I can fathom most times. If I was capable of jumping ship for another team I would have years ago. But alas, I've been watching them since I was in diapers and I'll be 40 next year, so I just can't quit them. So even if it's overly-optimistic I will continue to hope for the best, be mad when the worst happens, and enjoy the wins when they come.

The Cowboys that showed up against the Bucs isnt NFL football.

Its a joke.

The SF Seattle game - That was some NFL Football.
If you look at the league, it’s definitely today’s NFL football, the game is not the same
There’s just not enough superstars to go around with all the teams, you hope you get one or two players in the right position, and you can compete for a championship, money, no longer buy Super Bowls

Are you looking for an echo chamber?

Ok fair.

So let me ask you.

How come the Niners (as an example) can win games, run the ball, and pass the ball, NO MATTER who gets hurt?

It seems like no matter who runs in SF they rush for yards and touchdowns.

Coaching right?

I think they just got the football gods, on their side somehow, they get the right player in the right position, get the right coach you can communicate with the player
They drafted well, this was our first good draft , yeah, the franchise is flawed, Jerry sucks, at his job, we can still win their division beat Philly. I’m happy.
We’re basically young team,, maybe we get better by the end of the season, I’ll keep watching to find out

They have been the most injured team in the league the last few years lol.

Yeah but we're never gonna get that exorcism, unfortunately so making the playoffs is the best we can hope for under the Jerry Jones administration.

No I am looking for reality.

Which you seem to ignore.

How much team building was the GB loss?

You havent answered the other guy asking the question so Ill ask it.

How strong did that make them?
Well you whining about someone disagreeing with you. Thats pretty much what someone looking for an echo chamber does

Do you think the Green Bay is the only playoff game that has ever been played? Or the only one that matters? Look at how to team declined leading up to that game. The talent fell off steadily over the course of three seasons, and that team only won 1 games because of an easy schedule. That worst part of that game was that we didnt fire McCarthy. That game presents different issues and not really relevant to your point
