Jerry reminisces about the time he got mooned by a Packers fan

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones this morning on @1053thefan sharing one of his "greatest memories" from his trips to Green Bay: "After the game against (the Packers) maybe 25 years ago, all of my grandchildren were very small, 4 or 5 years old. And I had a car full of them. It was so cold. We won, and as we left the stadium, we were in a long, big car, and I saw this lady headed toward the car.

"She comes up beside the car running. She was so upset as a Green Bay fan. She was pretty hefty. And she turns around and pulls it all down and just plants it right up against the window. Everybody inside was in (shock) and couldn't believe it. And then her skin stuck to the window it was so cold. When she pulled away, there was just a big print sitting there on the side of that car. There were about 10 or 11 of us in the car and we can still see it today."

I don’t care what one thinks Jerry, that’s hilarious!

That’s pretty funny. They raise em big and drunk up there in Green Bay.

He is too old now and so like most 80+ in their mind what they see is totally different from reality , he must have a grand vision of himself and changed the narrative to Boys win and Packers Fan , may be it was other way around, Boys lost and it was a pi&$ed Boys fan .
Narcissism is not a condition that manifests when a person hits a subjective old age year. It is a lifetime mentality. The same 83-year-old of today gave a power-tripping 'understanding socks to jocks' mini-rant during his initial press conference in 1989 at age 46.

One perspective will likely never gain traction among all observers. Jerry Jones has always been a blowhard and football-stupid. It explains how and why he has run a football team for 32 years, without giving him excuses based on conclusions of dementia and fantasies due to his current age.

I do not enjoy playing Devil's Advocate for Mad Genius. The man is old, but he does not have dementia. He lies, sometimes through his teeth, but consider this:

He said about 25 years ago. It's 2026. It would put his fable around 2000 or 2001. He said his grandchildren were very small at the time, about 4 or 5 years old. Stephen Jones' daughter Jessica (link) was about 3 or 4 when everyone goes back to November 23, 1997...

The Packers beat Dallas 45-17 at? Lambeau Field.

Gametime temp? Mid-20s. Wind child? Lower than that. Here's the historical weather data (link).

That may not be very convincing. Pat Summerall describes gametime conditions about a few seconds after this video starts at the 5:40 mark:

His memory was off around four years. That's not bad for anyone at any age about a single event that occurred three decades before. Did the butt incident happen? Maybe not. Maybe it did. Either way, I wish he would finally get farted in the face with a plume thick enough to kill circumcised mosquitos.

No way Jerry forgot that *** whipping. I know I haven’t forgotten it

You have a good memory. I forgot he said Dallas won, which you caught, so I cannot defend his recollection on that part. Of course, the guy was wrapped in layers of foolishness that Dallas won everything after he and Johnson went separate ways. And the game was played the season following Super Bowl XXX. He likely misremembered when the championship winning STOPPED at that time, lol.
I looked it up and the time that Cowboys won would have been October 6 1991 at Milwaukee County stadium where it was chilly not really that cold. His grankids were likely not born yet though.

I'm thinking the actual loss was the only thing he misremembered.

You know your GM has a kush gig when he has time to make goofy reminiscences of events that are completely irrelevant to his team being 2-3. And he does these interviews constantly.

I’m quite certain guys like Brett Veach, the GM in KC or John Schneider the GM in Seattle (both who are younger than Little Stephen Jones and have won 5 SBs between them) are not doing three things JJ always has time to do:
  • Have time to do multiple radio and TV interviews weekly.
  • Wax on un-eloquently about some silly story no one cares about.
  • Undermining the HC with announcements about injuries or transactions he hasn’t bothered to inform him of.

bob are you saying the talk of this massive culture change was exaggerated?

Stephen Jones corroborated the story of it being an away game, even saying his mother was the closest to the window when the mooning happened, and Kevin Hageland also stated Dallas won (which Stephen Jones did not correct him):

Video's first 86 seconds (edit: CRAP STUPID YOUTUBE!)

Jerry Jones mentioned 'It was so cold' and 'the grandchildren were four or five'. These will be more things he forgot if Dallas won.

Cowboys/Packers has happened 27 times since Jones bought the team. Eleven of those 27 were in Wisconsin. Ten were in Green Bay. Only three of those ten were Cowboys wins, which were:

  • October 6, 1991, 20-17 Dallas, game time temperatures 45-50 degrees (link). Stephen's oldest child wasn't born yet. (This game was played in Milwaukee County)
  • September 21, 2008, 27-16 Dallas, game time temperatures 63-64 degrees (link). John Stephen was nine years old.
  • October 16, 2016, 30-16 Dallas, game time temperatures 60-67 degrees (link). The grandchildren were teenagers.

Well they are just lying. It is what it is

I was reminiscing about that time the product Jerry put on the field was so utterly horrible and embarrassing that no fans showed up for a home game….oh wait….shouldve happened by now but a girl can dream

I saw where someone thought he might have confused it with a Steelers game?
1997 was very cold and it was a win.
