What I have noticed

Yes, he has but he’s not on a pedastal because of his game management. Quit the booze and read the entire post.
LOL...your first few words HE MADE THE OFFENSE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE NFL. Those are your words, not mine. These guys were on the team when he got here, so how on earth did he make the offense? There are plenty of examples of coaches in the NFL who have made their D or O, one of the best in the league. If you think Schotty has made this team one of the best, you are the only one in the world who thinks so. I will add that if you also think his time management is his only issue, then you are the one who needs to put the drink down....need I say his decision to tell Dak to throw the ball away...and told the kicker to put the ball in play? C;mon man, be real

The misconception/realitly with the Dak under pressure theme is we remember times where he's blown it, and he looks like a deer in the headlights. For the most part he is quite calm under pressure, but we remember the costly mistakes more, which is natural for a fan of this team
Yup, he has on many occasions, driven us down for a win at end of games. Just did it with the Texans, almost did with Ravens if coaching didn’t screw us over with having him throw it away too early. Hell he may have against the Bucs if Ferguson didn’t drop a ball right in his hands for a pick. People have negativity bias like you said, we all do to an extent, just like if we have a bad experience with people it can overshadow the good (a common thing in human psychology), but people ignore the good things he does do…..if we didn’t have Dak we would be far worse off. He not perfect, but he’s not the problem with this team the last couple seasons. Coaching and D are just bad…the fact we can trade for players and sign players on D and they all end up WORSE performers for us is worrisome.

The defense is not bad talent wise, but they lack motivation and purpose. There is enough skill on the defensive side of the ball to win a Super Bowl if they feel they have an identity that matters to anyone.

Schottenheimer has improved the offense by making Dak drop deeper in the pocket this season to try and alleviate his tendency to panic when the pressure is on. Dak now drops about seven yards back immediately on every pass play
It was a very smart coaching move.

Too much hype has been put on the offense, as if the Cowboys are going to win on offense alone. People forget that these players are human, and if they don't feel appreciated they don't give that extra effort.
The Cowboys still have one glaring problem, but Jerry has added enough talent to the offense to attempt to win in spite of that problem. No quarterback in history has had better weapons than this year's Cowboys, and it would be enough under normal circumstances.
The Buccaneers were able to defend against the Cowboys offense because they knew that the Cowboys receivers run the same routes over and over again.
The Bucs simply sat on those routes and it made defending them much easier.
When the Cowboys defense held the Bucs but the Cowboys offense didn't deliver, frustration and memories of the past set in.
Like I said; the Cowboys still have one glaring problem that they refuse to fix, and even the Cowboys playrrs know it. When the events of the past keep happening again, it's human nature to be frustrated.
Good analysies.

I dissent on tha notion this D has talent to win a Lombardini.
As to the D lacking motivation and purpose, it is a double indictment by the public on our genius Christian Parker tha he can't coach and he can't motivate. Whew!

He did make the offense one of the best. Look at last year and this year will be the same. That’s DESPITE his bad game management so far. Todd Bowles blitzed the hell out of the Cowboys and Schotty had no answer despite the entire NFL, except you, knowing that that’s what Todd Bowles does. The offense is one of the best in the NFL and with better coaching and a better defense it will take off. But you’re a hater and you don’t see the possibilities until it happens and then you’ll be trying to jump back on the ship.

When you put the pipe down and take your meds, you can return to this conversation like a normally functioning human being

What a silly thing to say. If that were to be true, then they are nothing but punk kids, period, and would never want someone like that around a team of mine. smh
The lack of effort thingie is generally spewed by people who don't understand what they are seeing. So they desperately try to make it into a soap opera.

That is debatable. What isn't is inferior coaching. Coaching matters and better coaching would result in better performance on the field.
A lot of times..."bad coaching" can be hard to spot from here. We don't always know the inner workings of things...or the mistakes are more rare.

But with the Cowboys it's GLARING...blindingly so. Early and often.

I truly believe there is an entitled culture in Dallas.

An example is Ferg. He has some TERRIBLE performances...and yet still out there TE1. I have to believe a lot of team would dial back his playing time by now. But it's Dallas. We play our money.

I believe this very competitive endeavor...SOME of these guys need pushed...er...motivated. Kinda like a sales team often needs a pep rally. That motivation can come in several ways...and fear of losing your job might be one of them.

All my opinion...never been on an NFL football team. :)

That deeper drop helps the defense read the QB better, also allows the defender more time to jump a route or gather his footwork. Also, gives the front 7 more time to work into a stunt and puts more pressure on the OL to hold their blocks....I stopped reading after that. Good thing you're no longer a fan. Good luck with your next team. See ya

It's clear that Schottenheimer has recognized that he had to do this to address Dak's tendency to panic.
It was a good move on his part. If Dak could throw multiple routes without panicking under pressure, it might not be needed.
But it has helped.
But coaching alone can't solve some of the problems when they refuse to play Dak in preseason.
He still appears to get weak knees when the pressure of the game gets to him.
The bottom line is that Dak has played for ten seasons with lots of talent around him but has always failed to deliver.
