Prescott and Romo bottomfeeders

Yep...like either one or not...pinning wins and losses on the QB over YEARS....

is very ...well...to put it politely is negligent.... and obvious trolling (intentional or not!).

And bringing in a Romo from 12-20 YEARS ago? Cray-cray.
I'm not much for censorship...but I'd vote this is grounds for a benchin'!
You love it sugar plum.

Guys like that will only take you so far.

But I will say Tony would have taken some of Dak’s teams further. I don’t doubt that.
At what point does the rest of the team help take you far? Why does it have to be only the Qb that "can only take you so far".

Are you saying Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson single handedly took their teams to Supe Bowl?

Dak Prescott has a career regular-season record of 22-25 (.468) against teams that enter the game with a winning record.

Tony Romo had a regular-season record of 19-32 against teams with a winning record (above .500) and an 8-10 record against teams that finished at .500.

So for all of the guys touting how Romo was a much more capable QB, this stat shows the falsehood in that statement. They are pretty much the same QB. Both are known to put up good numbers yet crack in high pressure moments in big games against above average competition.

Just for the sake of comparison

Tom Brady 74–47
Highest number of wins against winning teams in NFL history.

Patrick Mahomes 22–12 (or ~64.7%)
One of the highest win percentages against winning competition in the modern era.

Lamar Jackson 14–4
Strong track record against winning teams, including standout single-season marks.

Brady and Mahomes are GOATs and Lamar Jackson is pretty much in the same classification as Dak and Romo, so I don't know if you should have used Lamar to make your point, but I have one good question to ask you.

Which GMs or coaching staff did Romo or Dak have that was comparable or better than the GMs or coaching staffs that Brady, Mahomes and Jackson had?

That makes a huge difference.....
Lamar Jackson is head and shoulders above Dak. Stop it. It's amazing that you claim to be objective regarding Dak.

Funny how I'm one of the few members on here who has never been proven wrong yet. People scoff at my comments. And get frustrated with my pessimism.

Each preseason I state all the flaws of the team and I declare exactly what is coming. I talk about the preseason hype, the time honored okie doke, and the eventual Groundhog day results. Which is followed by Cowboy fan amnesia in the off season where numerous members pretend they have suddenly "forgot" what I said was coming.

And I've been 100% correct. I also have the courage behind my convictions to put my money where my mouth is. I have made over $200,000 betting on Cowboy games. I just paid off my second mortgage doing so. I know their time honored flaws like the backside of my hand.
what a sad post

Lighten up Nancy.

The smilie indicactes a joke.

You're not gonna get me fired are ya?

But yes...assigning wins and losses to the QB over a 20+ years span....what incredible insight and attention to detail!
I am creating an "agenda" while typing in my underwear and eating Doritos. Lol. I don't take this stuff too seriously. And I know you are a smart guy who does deep dives when it comes to stats.

LOL...my sarcasm meter pegged!

I've already admitted many times I'm not the most adept analyst here. I barely know what a 1-tech is.:oops::)

But I do know pinning wins and losses on the QBs across two decades...is ambiguous at best. Likely fraudulent and reckless. Showing some "agenda". (not that it is ALWAYS a bad thing!).

A good example of this misdirection and misuse of stats is our own NFC East. There's no doubt...a rare consensus across many fields...it's been WAY weaker in recent years than it was with Troy and Romo.

Something your stats don't show.

Yes...I understand your stats weren't meant to show only NFCE. But it's still in the equation. I'm sure someone better with stats and analytics than me could poke a lot bigger holes in it than that.(as if you'd care....even by respected sources) .

But...blaming/crediting losses on QB alone...is enough for me.

Matt Stafford had a 8-68 record vs winning teams prior to going to the Rams and winning the SB.
Tom Brady was 2-5 vs winning teams the last season he won a SB. One was vs Dak in a 32-29 shootout and the other vs a 9-7 chargers team.
Aaron Rogers is 64-74.
Josh Allen 17-17.
There's a reason no legitimate analyst uses this stat as a way of measuring QBs.
It's a useless stat that doesn't take in the numerous variables that occur during the season and only appeals to those trying to push an agenda!

Nobody with even a shred of football knowledge respects what you have to say.

Your thread is a joke and so are you.
Wow...Nav and I are in agreement.

I mean...not that I've gained any respect from him about it.

But still... a minor miracle! :)
