Prescott and Romo bottomfeeders

Dak Prescott has a career regular-season record of 22-25 (.468) against teams that enter the game with a winning record.

Tony Romo had a regular-season record of 19-32 against teams with a winning record (above .500) and an 8-10 record against teams that finished at .500.

So for all of the guys touting how Romo was a much more capable QB, this stat shows the falsehood in that statement. They are pretty much the same QB. Both are known to put up good numbers yet crack in high pressure moments in big games against above average competition.

Just for the sake of comparison

Tom Brady 74–47
Highest number of wins against winning teams in NFL history.

Patrick Mahomes 22–12 (or ~64.7%)
One of the highest win percentages against winning competition in the modern era.

Lamar Jackson 14–4
Strong track record against winning teams, including standout single-season marks.

Team game.

If Dak played with a better FO and coaching staff, he’s good enough to win a SB
Doubtful. He's had plenty of chances with stacked teams. He couldn't even win a home playoff game with a 13-3 one seed. He's had teams with the league's leading RB at the same time as a top 10 defense, and he couldn't rise to the occasion.

Dak could only win a SB if the team around wins in spite of his all too predictable poor performance in playoff games.

So Romo and Dak are not Lamar, Mahomes or Brady. Amazing revelation!
Maybe compare them to QBs of similar talent? Also, I may be wrong, but Maybe Romo and Dak would have been a little better if playing for those teams in Baltimore, NE, and KC.
Uhh, Dak is the highest paid QB of all time. He is supposed to play up to the level of Brady, and Mahomes, let alone Jackson who is paid less.

Yep. Hence the comparison. Nothing wrong with a player asking for elite top tier money. But that also comes with being held accountable if the player's performance does not match his asking price.

Did you watch any of these QBs play for Dallas?

Quincy Carter (2001–2003)
Anthony Wright (2001)
Ryan Leaf (2001)
Clint Stoerner (2001)
Chad Hutchinson (2002)
Vinny Testaverde (2004)
Drew Henson (2004, one start)
Drew Bledsoe (2005–2006)

Cowboys had the #1 defense the year we made the playoffs with Quincy.

Quincy tossed 17 touchdowns and TWENTY ONE interceptions that year.

Totally the same thing as what Dak and Romo experienced!
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:
Carter had the #1 defense that is true but look at the offense. Troy Hambrick at running back, oft injured WRs and a poor offensive line. What would have Carter done in 2016 with a rookie Zeke and that offensive line with Bryant and Witten.

But we can do this all day and this is a distraction argument from my overall point. Some fans believe once Dak leaves we will “go back to the dark ages of QB” well regardless of how many laughing emojis you throw at me the Quincy Carter era only came up one game shorter than the Dak era.

Dak and Romo are not preventing us from being in the dark ages, we are still in the dark ages. Romo and Dak are just more marketable by our terrible owner and GM and we (well some) are believing we’re competitive with these guys. Barely making the playoffs and getting a quick oust is not competitive. We’re still in the Quincy Carter dark ages of QBs we just like these guys better.
