What has surprised CP about the start to the first five games for the defense?

What has surprised Christian Parker about the start to the first five games for the defense?

“Overall just some uncharacteristic things going from the spring to training camp that we didn't really do relative to whether it's execution, whether it's the fundamental detail, me in terms of getting a call in on time, things like that," Parker said.

"Some things were not just as buttoned up, and you didn't really see that coming just based off the performance previously. So I think that's when you got to step back and figure out, ‘OK how can we get back to what we were doing in that mode?’ Sometimes what happens is you get into a season and you're so worried about the opponent, (but) you’ve got to worry about yourself and what you're doing internally. It's been a lot of self-inflicted wounds these first five games by us.”

How fixable is everything?

“Very fixable because they're under our control," he said.

He would of played them in preseason he wouldn't had been surprised.

Now that's how you answer a reporter. Nothing nothing nothing.

Excellent point.

Maybe next year.........

[Risen Star]

Interesting that his lack of coaching ability didn't surprise him.

The players are playing chaos football, lane assignments, don’t exist
The surprise is how undisciplined our players are, but they come from a lot of different teams, and they haven’t had time to gel together

Mass chaos indeed. I’ve never seen anything like it in professional sports….

So, they look lost out on the field.

I think they've had plenty of time.

Play a new DCs scheme in the preseason when games don't count or matter. Then there isn’t so much shell shock when games do count.

[kskboys]

That he's not already fired? Me too.

Biggest surprise by far is the communication issues...guys out of place. Followed by our lack of aggressiveness. Thought you would see far more man defense and blitzes.

He's probably surprised there's another CP thread

Then he would have said and others would say we just need more time lol

Yup. CP has turned me against Cover 4.
