The Cowboys should trade Tyler Smith

It’s hard to believe people still don’t get it… trade this trade that .. fire him .. hire him… as long as Jerry is there it will never change. He has created a culture that players believe because they are a Dallas cowboy , they have arrived. The hard work needed to succeed is not necessary . I feel bad for good players like barham and downs who probably know how to do the extra … but they are alone with even wanting to do it. Once the 2 helicopters collide… maybe it will get better

I haven't seen the line really improve with him back.

Either he's still injured or Bass wasn't as bad as some thought.

Are people suggesting to replace them with lesser players? Or is it people suggesting to start the core over? Which the team should have done after 2019. But hey-what’s another decade of empty hype, zero substance?
Yes. They are. Read

No ........ I am not trading one of the few players who are still doing their jobs.

The offensive line is the hardest to develop. Smith is young an pro bowl talent. No way. Pickens and others yes

They are saying to fold the current hand. Trade multiple players for premium picks. They are saying to start over-to rebuild the squad. Who knows who those eventual replacements are? In the here and now for the single year (zero future planning at all) fan-yes I could see your point.

Think about it. The eagles got a 2nd and 6th for Cam Jurgens. I think Dallas may be able to get a late 1st or 2nd and 3rd for Tyler. The offense was better with Bass starting. You can have two all pro OG’s and doesn’t really do much with an average QB and average RB. Use the picks to invest in DEF.
How would your trade impact the salary cap?

No, that's not the part I'm referring to
"The offense was better with Bass starting"
"I don’t care where Tyler Smith was drafted he has regressed. He is not a dominant player and he is getting paid like one. TJ Bass is more than enough"
"we had Zack Martin it equated to nothing"

This is not about players or an offensive/defensive scheme. This is about a culture that’s existed since Jimmy Johnson left the organization. A 30 year old culture that doesn’t hold players accountable and the GM responsible for it who feels he can fix problems by throwing money at them.

Ah.

Trading Smith does nothing unless you’re blowing it up which Jerry has no time for. To think they have given up a lot of draft capital for this mess.
