We are 12-18-1 since Dak got that contract extension

Nonsense

Dak could be playing here free, he still isnt talented enough to get it done. He shrinks in big games. Unless an all-time defense is built around him, hes not winning you a super bowl.

The defense has been bad. We all know that. But Dak is a loser QB. Even if we held Green Bay to 13 points yesterday, Dak would give you 10
Do you really believe last night's game was a big game? And if it was then every game is a big game. Dak was bad last night, no doubt about it. But he has had many great games including a couple this year. It wasn't Dak's fault we lost to the Ravens. He kept them in that game. I would suggest the Washington game was a bigger game than this one because that was a division rivalry. And The Giants game, Dak scored two TDs the only two times Dallas got the ball in the second half. That was a big game too.

Just because Dak had a bad game last night does not mean his entire career was bad. This team has a ton of problems, starting with the HC. Dak is about 20th on a long list.

Lol ight man

We were better off letting Dak play out the 2024 season and letting him go (or trade) and start a true rebuild. These losses and performances would be a lot more palatable if there wasnt this fantasy that this was a team in win-now mode.

Some of us knew that. Some of us knew not to sign him the first time. But marketing over talent is a hallmark of this organization.

Because you can manipulate stats to make them support any position you want to push.
Stats don't tell the story.
Watching the games lets you see what is really happening.
But when we tell them that, we are called haters and they jeer the "eye test".

I was told to sit back & enjoy the QB's contract. I just hope the ones who were so thrilled are enjoying it.

Its now clear as day that it was a bad decision to not move on from him after 2024. The cascading events that occurred have set this franchise back at least 5 years.

9/8/24: Dak signs 4 year contract extension through 2029

1/24/25: Cowboys hire Brian Schottenheimer mostly because the QB campaigned for it and the reluctance to change systems for a 9 year vet

1/28/25: Cowboys hire Matt Eberflus to be DC which lead to one of the worst defenses to ever play for this franchise

7-9-1 season

1/22/2026: Schottenheimer hand picks Christian Parker. A 34 year old passing game coordinator that never called a defense on any level and was tasked with transforming the worst D in franchise history.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…

Gifting Dak the starting QB position was one of the dumbest decisions this front office has ever made. I don’t care what anyone else thinks or what people call me. I firmly believe doing so set the team back a decade.

He doesn’t have the mental acuity to carry the team when the time comes for him to do so. I don’t care about his stats you can see it by his play on the field. It’s been that way since his rookie year.

Instead the team saddled itself to a player that requires elite talent surrounding him at every level to be above average which is an impossible task in today’s NFL.

The day he leaves will be a day to celebrate but I’ve no doubt the Jones boys will find more fools gold to put behind center.

We extended him after that horrible Green Bay loss. We should have blown it up after that game.

2016 was the only chance. Having an elite OL + Zeke + having little expectations cast upon him as a 4th round rookie that started the season 3rd on the depth chart is exactly how its possible he peaked that season.

Romo retires and hes named the guy in 2017 to carry the franchise and its been nonsense ever since.

We've all seen it a dozen or more times with this franchise. The big bag of gold results in a precipitous decline in results.

Dak has been no different.
