Yes,and Tampa Bay recognized that the Cowboys only run a select group of routes and the sat on those routes, taking the easy completions away from Dak.This, other teams would blitz every now and then but TB set in motion, we’re coming a lot not just every now and then. GB saw the outcome between the OL not being able to block and the QB deer in high beam headlights and expecting every DC to use this approach going forward. They see and know the outcome of what’s going to happen.
dak has been off target. that's bad.Dak is bad but it doesn't help that our head coach is in over his head.
Where has this narrative come from? He's one of the best QBs in the league against the blitz and has been for years. The idea that he somehow forgot how to play against the blitz since the first drive against Tampa is comically shortsighted.
The problem is that the coach has no solutions for this specific type of blitz package where the QB can't be right pre-snap.
Yeah that’s another thing. They somehow got worse when Smith came back. It's very weird that he was able to pick the Texans blitzing D apart 2 weeks ago and has gotten completely flummoxed the last two weeks. Last week it was definitely playcalling, they were running nothing but long developing downfield routes and the blitz was getting home. They ran a few more slants and quick developing routes last night but the O-line was horrible. Dak was genuinely under duress about as bad as it could be as the game progressed.
Maybe the most alarming thing to me is the O-line has regressed seemingly alot since Tyler Smith has been back. No idea if he's not 100% or what. Steele was just downright awful last night.
Maybe, maybe not. It certainly would have been worth a try.Remember #4 couldn’t beat good teams when Big Mac was here neither. Dude is a problem. If you switch quarterbacks last night, we win that game.
The way to beat the Double Mug blitzes is actually a big area of weakness for Dallas, perfect storm.dak has been off target. that's bad.
but schotty has to stop calling all those long developing routes...reminds me of the clapper routes...what happened to the slants, punishing the blitzing....the other teams do it to us...make big plays. convert first downs. chip away and hold the ball.
we are a stupid team top down.
They are simply daring the Cowboys to take big shots down the field-sitting on slants and short routes. They are sending more rushers than they have blockers at times. QB has to try to avoid rushers and buy time. He has lost almost all of that ability. He’s a sitting duck and opposing teams don’t respect his escapability. This offense isn’t capable of a simple screenplay
This offense line, sucks,
And when you have a quarterback, that gets happy feet. The whole thing breaks down.
You’re not gonna have any quarterback that’s going to survive behind this offensive line
I particularly enjoy our bubble "screens" where we have...checks notes...no blockers for said screen. This offense isn’t capable of a simple screenplay

lol, I don't hate him as much as you do. Dak definitely needs a defense that holds teams to less 21 pts for sure.He has to have the perfect offensive line, the best running back, the best receivers, and a defense that keeps the opponents from scoring. Yep, get that yellow jacket out for him.
I don’t think any quarterback would survive behind this line, right now it’s not about escaping. It’s about having a route to escape. They are simply daring the Cowboys to take big shots down the field-sitting on slants and short routes. What narrative?Where has this narrative come from?
I like him like I like Garrett. One year was too much for him.lol, I don't hate him as much as you do. Dak definitely needs a defense that holds teams to less 21 pts for sure.
They hate himWhat narrative?
What numbers?What narrative?
The numbers are the numbers, he has always been good against the blitz.
We also seem to leave the guy we're screening to by himself, standing there waiting for the ball. That gives the defense plenty of time to key in on him before the ball even gets there, and nobody to block for him.The way to beat the Double Mug blitzes is actually a big area of weakness for Dallas, perfect storm.
You attack.perimeter with screens and quick low success rate sideline throws. Of course actually being able and willing to run the ball.
We are and have been for years s terrible perimeter offense for most part. Its because we lack thst explosive speed guy. As much as I see little actual value in Turpin as a KR, his injury took away our best perimeter weapon.
The problem is he has had that scared look while on the field for the last few years. nothing new there. But you are absolutely correct in everything you said. The word is out now.
If you pressure Dak he panics. If the game gets too big he panics.
Over the last ten years Dak has let the Cowboys down EVERY time they needed him to be the reason they were better.
Now the secret is known, and his struggles are just beginning.
I saw plays last night that many QBs could have sidestepped the rusher, but Dak panicked instead, throwing the ball wherever.I don’t think any quarterback would survive behind this line, right now it’s not about escaping. It’s about having a route to escape.
