Couldn't disagree with you more. Bell looked very solid toward the end of last season. He is a big strong dude that could fit into any system; I think he can be a poor man's Jonathan Ogden if he believes in himself and in Callahan.

Great job Jerry! Great job!

Ah! I now see how you got the handle... "rash".

I like the Bell move only because he can become the swing tackle if he outperforms either Free or Parnell in TC. I don't see it happening, though, so he is more likely a camp body or insurance if someone goes down.

Alexander hit it...

Bell is here to help tighten-up the 2nd string offensive line in order that the 2nd string skill players get some opportunity to show something.

In previous campaigns the 2nd string line was so bad that little or nothing was shown by the skill players on offense.

This training camp the 2nd stringers will probably be:

Bell
Parnell
Leary
Arkin
Costa

No, you may not want ANY of those guys starting for you at 1st string, but for 2nd string? It's not bad.

I wouldn't be surprised if Parnell got time on two units. He needs snaps to get better. For example, he might run with the 2's and the 3's at RT. Or, if he is winning the RT battle he might go for the 1s and 2s while Free takes snaps at LT (we might see this anyway in the last pre-season game as we likely sit Tyron).

Alex Tanney

Man! What are the odds that Dallas would find two pro bowl QB's both as undrafted free agents within 10 years of each other? (Romo and Tanney)

Now they don't have to worry about finding Romo's heir apparent.

Don't know anything else about Tanney...but that video and his accuracy is impressive for sure. Definitely worth a look IMO

bell has to be the worst tackle in the nfl.

He was playing pretty well his last couple of years in Buffalo and then just completely fell off with Philadelphia. He gave up 5.25 sacks and committed five penalties in 2010 in 16 starts and then in six starts in 2011 (before being sidelined by injury), he committed no penalties and gave up a half-sack.

Penalties, which were a problem for him his first year as a starter (8 in 8 starts/games), became a big problem for him again in 2012 (9 in 5 starts/9 games) when he went to Philadelphia and he gave up 3 sacks. It's a good possibility like others have pointed out that the technique changes were too much for him.

We'll see. It's not a bad pickup for a trial basis.

I also like the Tanney pickup.

I'd love it if they added another guard with the 1 spot they have left, like Brandon Moore

Wasn't Tanney on the show super humans? He made some pretty impressive throws on that show as well.
