I can't stand these two guys....Let's go ahead and throw Faulk in their with them. All three of them are horrible..They are never correct on their predictions, so you know their analysis is just coming out of their AR$E..How are these guys still employed?

How is being correct on their "prediction" somehow tied to knowing about football?

The ball is pointy on both ends which makes it bounce funny. Which changes predictability an great deal.

If Dallas becomes a winner, you will see them speak highly of this team and your feelings won't be bruised over their contempt for what Jerry has fielded as a team.

Winning makes srtupid sports reporters sound smart, talking heads appear to have a clue, and former players become brilliant.

This is like the Romo debate for respect.

Win and it shuts up a great deal of pie holes.

They weren't even talking about the Cowboys when I made this comment...They are just horrible and shoot from the hip with everything they say. Everything they say is purely opinion and most the time, they end up being proven wrong. Another guy who is horrible is LT...It's hard to even listen to him talk...If you put mics in front of LT and Emmit Smith you could make a comedy show out of what they would be saying. Let me rephrase that, what they would be trying to say...

i miss the old days when they just showed football games without studio pregame, halftime, and postgame shows--but I don't have to watch them, though it's hard to avoid the morons during the game when they supply the so-called color commentary

I don't watch NFL network or ESPN for football coverage. Outside of 1 or 2 people from those networks the majority of it simply isn't very good. I don't bother with football stuff until the season starts and Fox starts having it's pregame shows. I actually enjoy their show and respect the opinions of the people they have on there.

Agreed, but NFL network is the only place to really get any training camp coverage. That stuff I have actually enjoyed.

A couple of their analysts are actually pretty good, I really like Eric Davis of all people, but I get what you are saying.

Your better off not listening to any national media types. They don't watch every preseason, regular game so have no clue about any team other than what they've heard from other national media types. Shoddy journalism (and I use the word journalism losely) at best.

didn't they start pregame shows in '71 or something like that? I'm 50 and I really can't remember no pregame show.

but pregame shows did not last all week -- in the 60s, if the game started at 3, you pretty much turned it on 3 and kickoff followed in a few minutes

well of course not there was no ESPN yet. We only got one tv channel in the '60s, I have no idea if they even showed NFL games at all, much less at 3. First NFL game I remember seeing on tv was the Dallas/Baltimore Super Bowl, can't remember if there was a pregame.
