One Of The Best Catches You'll See

I am partial to this one because of being a Mets fan. Chavez saved that playoff game :)

Same here, too bad we lost that game, AND series. It speaks to how sick of a catch it was because it holds no other importance

Yea, it was bittersweet. He kept us in that game, I thought for sure that would propel them to the WS :(

If you think about it, Swoboda in '69 should be held in higher regard than Endy. Equally as amazing catches, one in a WS winning game, the other in an elimination series

I wasn't born yet. Have only heard stories of that amazing team with just a few highlights. Around 1982 is when I became a full-fledged Met fan.

I wasn't either, but just seeing old tape of the catch is awesome

The type of catch you only see in movies.

I always thought that if the ball goes over the fence, it is a homerun. Even if it is caught, if it goes out of the park, it is a homerun. I always thought that if you catch it you have to stay in the park.

I made a catch like W. Mays' in a softball game, .. but I have to admit I totally lost sight of the ball and just luckily stuck my glove out in front of me in the right place. (I never told the guys that though)
