Bryan Broaddus take on the starting oline

Lots to work on after this game

The article was fine and does smack a little of home-town positiveness...as long as you know that, I have no problem with what he wrote.

Moving back to Texas now, I hope they can figure things out on the offensive side of the ball

I don't need to read anything. When you work for the team, you have an agenda in what you write. I wouldn't waste my time reading a single sentence from Broaddus. Nor Spags. Or Eatman. Etc.

If you want to know the real scoop on the Eagles, don't go to their website. Read the beat writers who aren't on the team pay roll. You'll get a much more honest take.

Normally I would agree, but Broaddus seems to be reasonably impartial. He was pretty critical of the Cowboys handling of the first round of the draft and hasn't held back in his critiques of players during TC.
I saw pretty much the same thing as he, Arkin aquitted himself well save for that stunt he whiffed on. Bernardeau wasn't great, but didn't embarass himself.....still would love to see him upgraded though.

Assuming you're right, which sources do you trust for honest, impartial reporting on the Cowboys?

Of course it does. That's his job.

If you're one of those fans who needs to have your rooting interests massaged and continue to live in denial, you prefer the people writing for the team. They tell you what you want to hear.

Talk about the "king" of agenda's.

Is this going to be like the time you told me I had an agenda against Jerry and then decided you didn't want to talk about it when I challenged you to explain yourself?

If you don't see a writer's conflict of interest in telling the truth while working for the team, I don't know what to tell you.

Harris had a damn good game and caught the ball well. His fumble didn't prevent him from having a good game. He caught several balls in traffic to keep drives going. That's a good game.

No doubt.
7 targets, 6 catches....and a few in heavy traffic. I love his physicality.

I just find it odd that Broaddus has been a critic of Arkin for a couple of years, and on the same day that it was announced that Waters was no longer an option, all of a sudden Arkin is the savior. Very odd! We're 3 weeks from the start of the season and the OG position is still unsettled, and so is the depth.

Ah, you see it for what it is.

So you might say it's in his best interest to see Arkin as a player now? Right.

still not be able to run the ball is concerning me more then anything about preseason. pass protection has not been bad despite the different combination of inside olineman. if this team continues to have trouble running the redzone offense will have trouble scoring when the season starts.

If you've been listening to Broaddus throughout TC he's been giving Arkin props for getting better and staying healthy. His praise for Arkin didn't start when we started chasing Waters or Moore.

Not really that odd. Arkin has started playing better and it's been pointed out by a few others as well. And I don't get where he's calling him a savior. Just saying he played well last night.

Sometimes what a person writes or says has noting to do with who they work for. It just happens to be their opinion at that moment. Unfortunately. It's difficult for people to take anything at face value anymore. Seems there's got to be an agenda one way or the other all the time.

Well if you want to trust some yawho with reduced reading comprehension skills to "interpret" for you what Broaddus wrote (even though both he and now you are incorrect) then so be it.

Others have also kindly pointed out the same error.

And as far as the "Agenda against Jerry" thing you must have me confused with someone like Hos because I'm not a big-time Jerry-backer. What do they say goes first– memory? :)

Hmmm... wrong.

Broaddus has been reporting the beginning of training camp that Arkin has been an improved player.

I guess the only "Odd" thing is that you haven't been reading his postings since then.

Wait. You're telling me you don't remember a few weeks ago you saying something about people having an agenda against Jerry, me asking you to clarify and you telling me you weren't getting into that conversation?

If you don't, see a doctor.

I don't need to read what Broaddus wrote. He writes for the team. With that comes an agenda. It's really as simple as that.

I remember the debate but it wasn't at it's core a "I luv Jerry/you don't" debate.

Choose not to read Broaddus but I would kindly suggest not backing the incorrect posts made on false information... They drag themselves into the mud and drag others in too. ;)

Tough call on Broaddus. On one hand, I take his analysis very seriously because of his scouting background but on the other, I see who's signing his paychecks. We'll see how accurate his analysis is over the long haul.
