In studying the Cardinals from their game the previous week against the Packers, I had a feeling that without much game preparation, there was some potential for problems on both sides of the ball. The Cardinals make it hard for you to run on them, and not surprisingly, that was the case for the Cowboys.
I thought the first-team offense, protection-wise, with David Arkin and Tyron Smith working together, held up well despite this being the first game action for Arkin on the left side. There was only one time where they struggled with a twist stunt, but other than that, it was solid.
From my view in the broadcast booth, I liked what I saw from Travis Frederick and Mackenzy Bernadeau working together as well. Cardinals defensive linemen Darnell Dockett and Calais Campbell can give any line a great deal of issues, but I didn't feel like they were a factor.

I thought Campbell put it to Arkin pretty good but Campbell is one of the better 3-4 ends in the league so it was to be expected.

I think Arkin's ability to play both guard positions makes Livings expendable. Bernadeau is the starter at RG unless we get a vet G like Brian Waters.

Reading his article, he said Dwyane Harris had a really good game. So I don't know how reliable his opinion is...

Outside of the fumble he did play pretty good at WR IMO.

When you work for the team, you immediately lose all credibility. You have an agenda. It just goes with the gig. This is all teams not just the Cowboys.

This is what Broaddus said about Harris...

"For a couple of players that needed a good game, I thought Dwayne Harris as a receiver and Gavin Escobar at tight end played very well. Harris and Escobar were in a nice rhythm with Alex Tanney in how they were able to run their routes, and they were also able to finish their plays."

The key part was "as a receiver".

I think you need to actually read with Broaddus wrote.

I agree I thought as a WR he looked really good.

I thought Arkin had the best day out of the interior guys.

Yeah I thought Harris was terrible today.

He is a consistent player and today I felt he was consistently bad.

I don't need to read anything. When you work for the team, you have an agenda in what you write. I wouldn't waste my time reading a single sentence from Broaddus. Nor Spags. Or Eatman. Etc.

If you want to know the real scoop on the Eagles, don't go to their website. Read the beat writers who aren't on the team pay roll. You'll get a much more honest take.

I thought Frederick played the best. Arkin held his own against some very good competition.

I thought Fred was alright.

The first run of the game looked like a mental mistake to me and we got to see some of the balance he put on display at Wisconsin for the first time.

I don't get that vibe from Broaddus. He slams players all the time and I think the beat writers actually show respect to his credibility when he talks about a player.

Our OLine is still terrible. Cannot run the ball at all.

I think that some of it has to do with lack of a game plan. Also I've been saying this afternoon that I think Dunbar is a better fit for this offense

Talk about the "king" of agenda's.

Harris had a damn good game and caught the ball well. His fumble didn't prevent him from having a good game. He caught several balls in traffic to keep drives going. That's a good game.
