Today is the day. If he practices, he likely plays. If not, no way. So, if anyone has info, please post. Thanks

He is playing for his next contract, I doubt he plays until like week 3-4. Remember Greg Ellis? Jerry had to give him some money to play.

He was in the training room during the medias portion of practice.

I don't think they want the giants knowing.

Also it appears tanner has some sort of leg injury but should be ok.

Talkin Cowboys just said he wasn't at the walk through which was open to the media.

Garrett had previously said that he would do something on the field today. I smell smokescreen for game 1 start.

He hasn't practiced in like 5 weeks correct?

I think he is out or plays on 3rd down only.

Well I'm ok with Selvie/Rayford getting some snaps I just wish Spencer would come back at least in a limited role, 15-20 snaps on passing downs

we won't see Spencer in game 1 he is not practicing today. Time for Selvie to step up.

Something must be seriously wrong, this is a 3 week recovery. Leary got the same surgery 3 weeks after him and he is already back. Spencer got his surgery 6 weeks ago, that means he should have been back a while ago. What's going on?

If I am his next employer, it would send a red flag that he is unable to get on the field for health reasons. I would think it is in his best interest to play.

Talking Cowboys said the surgery wasn't identical. Spencer's injury was tougher to get to.

They said Leary had like a floater in his knee that was easier to remove.

But for him, he gets less money if the injury remains nagging the entire year, and he needs another surgery. Didn't that happen to Cliff Avril?

So Spencer didn't get arthroscopic? It was a more serious surgery?

Just because you have the same type of surgery doesn't mean it was the injury or the surgery itself was the same.

I'm just asking if it was a different kind of surgery because I was under the impression this was a quick easy procedure, now here we are 6 weeks later and still no Spencer. Generally Arthroscopic guys are back quickly 2 or 3 weeks, so I'm asking if there was a more serious problem or a set back

No Spencer, no Ratliff, no Crawford on the line. Other than that, our defense is healthy. Eli might have a lot of time to throw. I predict a high-scoring shootout.

the procedure probably just wasn't as quick and easy as they had hoped it would be, or maybe Spencer is just being cautious cause this is his contract year, and the last thing he wants is to be hurt all year, and put in a sub-par performance when trying to get a huge deal. Its a gray area ...very very gray.
