We still have a lot of contributors who are scheduled to come back within weeks 2-6.

We had issues in that win, but we also have a lot more to look forward to. I'm pretty excited about this team.

On the radio they said Spencer is expected to be back for next practice but "limited". Probably going to ease him back and see if that knee flares up or not.

When those 4 guys come back, there will be 4 new guys injured. It's not just us--it's the NFL. You rarely see a team with absolutely no injuries for a game. That being said, I can't wait till Ratliff and Spencer come back. I wouldn't mind Spencer playing limited snaps the new few games. Selvie proved he can handle the load. Same goes for Ratliff with Hayden stepping up.

Crazy as it sounds I think we missed Dunbar more than Spencer last night. His speed would have helped the underneath style offense a lot

Interesting. With the exception of Waters (although Bern played well most of the game), which of those players did the Cowboys really miss? Murray had just under 90 yards on 20 carries with 4 plus ypc. He was also clutch in the passing game. But the entire front 4 made plays: Hatch with a sack and tons of pressure, Hayden had the FF and was a rock in the middle, Selvie had a sack and was all over the place, Ware had the INT and was responsible for a ton of rushed throws especially early in the game.

If these guys can truly upgrade their respective units, there is no reason to think that Cowboys cannot be one of the elite teams this season.

There were many times during the game where we failed to get any pressure on Eli and he burned us. Improving our rotation, won't hurt anything.

Dunbar creates an element in the passing game that just isn't really there with Murray. Murray can create some yards with force and some nice moves from here to here, but Dunbar gives us quick strike ability in the flats that Murray doesn't.

As you said, Waters is obvious. It's not only in pass protection, but in improving the running game.

I agree with you 100% that these guys will improve our rotation and add more explosive plays/extra dimension, potentially. I was just playing devil's advocate and pointing out that the guys who played were pretty good.

I'm just saying the upside in bringing these players in will make this team a lot better. A lot better.

Don't understand all of the Dunbar love on this board. He's a non-factor, dime a dozen running back in the NFL. He's not making any kind of significant impact. What about him makes you think otherwise? And thats a serious question.

Waters will be a huge addition as Bern looked like he doesn't belong on the roster at all. He'll also make it possible to run on the right side since that was just a no go last night.

And of course having a healthy Spencer will be a big help on D.

Ratliff....ehhh. Can't say I care about him much anymore.

Its amazing that people continue to give Bernadeau excuse after excuse. Did you watch the game over again? I think because Broaddus for whatever reason is in love with Bernadeau, that people think he must be good. Broaddus is overly loyal. You need to move on. He is below average to awful. Was one of worst starting guards in league last year

Well said. Always good to have depth and solid rotational guys. Given how the DL performed...getting Spencer & eventually Rat/Bass back, could really allow them to develop a fairly deep/solid DL rotation. Not to mention, I think the kid that came over from the Colts could add something as well.

Dunbar adds the element of great burst/speed. He's simply another potential weapon in the run, pass & possibly return games.

Waters eventually starting at RG allows Bernadeau to provide versatile depth, being able to play either guard spot and center.

I am far from a Bernadeau apologist, I even preferred Livings to him and never wavered on that. I was also one of the loudest and most persistent in calling for Waters to be signed as far back as 2011. But Bern exceeded my expectations Sunday night. Even Romo commented that he is only hit 2 times out of 5 plays now instead of the 4 times out of 5 plays last season. Small sample size but the OL was much improved in 2013, that was evident. Bern is still the weak link, but he played much better. I can admit that.

Still want him out of the starting line up but he had one of his best games as a Cowboy last night.

Why would you count on Ratliff to do more than provide a bad attitude, warm the bench, and cash a check at this point?

Isn't Rat on the PUP list? Six weeks I believe.

Ratliff does not deserve a starting spot on the DL until he earns it. His flame has burnt out.
