I'm kinda disappointed they haven't been able to move Wilbur, I cringe every time I see him out there instead of Ware....

I've actually been impressed with him lately.

And this from a guy who thought he should have been traded or cut just 3 weeks ago.

Like the move. Stashing a young guy to develop.

He missed al of last season with an abdominal surgery and missed all of this years training camp except the final week with a strained hamstring. S he has never even played in the league.

He can fly and has good size though.

It's possible they could leave the spot open until Ratliff's return. We're talking three more weeks. If they can get by without Rat until then, I see no reason to make a move now and then make yet another move when Rat's ready to go.

Ok so everyone ignore this bit of randomness...

Like the get of Greenwood from DET. My notes were good on him. Raw skill. Good lateral Qks and movement. Straight line speed. Can COD.

I remember his college film being good. Small school player that had a lot of skill. Young guy that you could develop.

I'm pretty sure that ship has sailed philosophy wise. I would like to know what happened with Conner. Just a few years ago everyone thought he was the next big thing at that position.

signed with Giants today

I wanted this guy in the draft and a bunch of you did to best I remember
04/29/2012 - A closer look at the Lions' picks: Round 5/148 - Chris Greenwood, CB, 6-1, 193, Albion...His measurables were off the charts. He is the first player from the Michigan Independent Athletic Association to be drafted since 1967. COULD SURPRISE: Cornerback Chris Greenwood: Greenwood is a physical marvel; a potential diamond in the rough. He's 6-2 and runs a sub-4.40. He also displayed a 43-inch vertical jump during his visit to the Lions. - The Sports Xchange
Overview
It's a tough road to go from Division III to the NFL, but Greenwood got noticed enough to be invited to the East-West Shrine Game, and scouts from the Dolphins and Cowboys spent time with him after Greenwood had a strong showing at Michigan's March 15 pro day. Local prospects were invited to work out alongside Wolverines, and the Detroit native said he was living a dream. "It's exciting," Greenwood told the Detroit News after his pro day workout. "I'm living a dream. It's fun. It's football. I know I have what it takes to play in the NFL. I can make plays. I'm just looking for an opportunity to show everyone." The 6-1, 193-pound cornerback leaves Albion with great respect from the coaching staff. "Chris has great individual talent but what makes him special is he blended with the team and did not seek the spotlight," Albion coach Craig Rundle said after Greenwood was selected to participate in the Shrine Game in January. "He is one of the most humble kids we have on the team."
Analysis
Strengths: Smooth and explosive athlete with very good acceleration to get to top speed in a hurry. Good height and length for the position with excellent leaping ability to highpoint the ball and knock down passes. Good ballskills and reliable hands. Trusts his eyes and has good reaction quickness. Plays fearless and confident, staying decisive in his movements. Productive over his career with 13 interceptions. Weaknesses: Lanky frame and needs to bulk up for the next level. Played at Division-III level so is in for a big jump in competition. Appears a bit tight hipped and isn't the most fluid in his backpedal, more of a straight-line athlete. Played at three different colleges (Northwood, Eastern Michigan, Albion). Raw cover technique. Gets too high and needs to show better bend and not opening his hips so early. Limited experience as return man on special teams. --Dane Brugler

Plays the gunner on special teams, shows up the most there on game 4 preseason film. Got burned on an 80 yard TD when he bit on a WR route that went deep not short. Missed a tackle there too. He did make a good tackle on another play. Was not impressed but the speed shows up on special teams.

Actually Ray Lewis would totally disagree with you, Peyton will pick man coverage apart by finding the right matchup, only way to slow him down is more zone and a pass rush....two things we have shown we can do well recently.

Man sounds good cause it will limit yardage more but Peyton will get his yards, what we need are turnovers from him which will happen when we mix in some zone.

Dallas matches up pretty well with Denvers offense. About as good as you can really. Especially with Clady out of the mix.

1 sack and two tackles so far. He just doesn't look the part to me, though I did like the sack!
