When you say coaching doesn't matter, I say it does. We have some nice players on defense, but he gets the best out of them. I was a Rob Ryan fan, but he really is a step or even two above Ryan.

Our players are going after the ball on every single play!

We haven't had a team like that since the days of Jimmy Johnson.

People said he was too old. Does he look too old for this job to you? I think the guys battle for him harder than anyone else because he brings experience.

I can't believe I am watching a Dallas Cowboys team that strips the ball and is in the top 5 in the league in give/take stats.

It's something that has me itching to watch the next game vs. San Diego. I'm stoked about that. And I think we pick up a win to head in to the 2nd quarter of the season as 3-1.

I really hope we win this next game. It would be good for everyone!

All for the change. Love the takeaways, love the pressure.

I will say, I hated the guy, but Rob Ryan did get a bum deal in terms of injuries last year. The defense was playing really well for us early under really bad circumstances last season, too, until attrition took it's toll. Still, this scheme is a better fit for us, and we need the ball control to get where we want to be.

One time they flashed up to Monte during the St Louis game and he sure looked asleep at the wheel up there.

Main thing is Kiffin brought in a plan and he sold that plan to the players and they are buying it. Kiffin did not try to cram a lot of information in at once he has kept things simple and allow the player to be aggressive in this defense.

Merinelli(sp?) is probably more important than Kiffin.

I think both are important they know each other very well and work very well together. Say a lot about the respect Marinelli has for Kiffin to go from DC to DL coach when I think he could have found a DC else where in the NFL

That's the diff between coaches like Rob and Kiffen/Marinelli, one is better at identifying talent to fit his scheme or at least creates a scheme that can still succeed when injuries happen.

Rat, Spencer, Crawford, Bass, Claiborne, etc. - I don't see Kiffin/Marinelli using injury excuse, they just plug in another player.

So far so good but we have played some pretty mild/weak offenses thus far. Denver will be a real test but I do agree, improvement is there.

Denvers' LT Clady out for the year....Red Palm SB preview, Dallas wins by 6pts @Home in OT 34 - 28, Lee/Carter INT for the walkoff TD!

Monte Kiffin has done a great job hope the defense gets better and better each week. I thought that Monte Kiffin was too old, when I saw that the Cowboys had hired him to be defensive coordinator. I was wrong he is not too old, and is doing a great job. Go Monte Kiffin, Go Cowboys.

Seems as this system makes it easier to find a plug and play replacement for injuries.........I'm sure there are a few key positions, but the way they've replaced Spencer and Crawford at DE, and Ratliff without a dropoff is impressive.

The Cowboys had wrapped up the game and Monte Kiffin was on cruise control.

Seriously, if/when Dallas handles Rivers and Co., has Denver faced a 2013 Defense as good as Dallas?

Plus Manning has nvr won in Big D.

whether it is kiffin or marinelli being the reason for our much improved takeaway margin...i love it.

don't like the bend don't break though.

manning will shred us if we do that .

we will have to send multiple blitz and stunt packages to win that game... no cb blitzes though.

rotate all our young ,hungry players all day that game.

use holloman, sims, rayford, jones...whatever...keep fresh rested players to go in and attack all day.

Props to Kiffen, but MAJOR PROPS if we win the next 2 games the way we have been playing.
