I thought the biggest penalty miss was on the long throw to Dez down the right sideline where the DB literally grabbed his shoulders, then let him go about the time the ball arrived. I swear I don't know how some of these calls are being missed.

Well like bradie James said on fox 4 three weeks ago "romo has way more personality than he shows the fans"

If he were allowed to be himself like he did Initially in 06 he would probably win over some of the dopes who still think he can't play.

But thanks to espn and national writers he can't be himself.

Tony should be a natural for the booth when he retires.

The official was looking right at it and Romo knew it. That's what made it funny. If it had been done behind his back then brought to the official's attention, that May have drawn a flag.

what is the penalty for that exactly? delay of game?

I don't know, but if it would've been a delay of game then that would be some petty stuff. How much would it delay the game for, .2 seconds? Lol, he just "nudged" the ball.

Considering it is a penalty.. An actual penalty, I am surprised he didn't get flagged for it. The refs didn't mind throwing flags on some of the other ridiculous "penalties" through the game.

Is was funny but not a wise thing to do.
No benifit and he could have been flagged.

I cant believe this wasn't posted. It seems like Romo has a good relationship with refs... even if it seems like he never gets the calls other QBs do...

Unless I missed it, but why wasn't there a measurement? Of course the yellow line is unofficial, but that was more than close enough for a measurement.

That was funny stuff.
I think Aikman called it a foot wedge (golfing term for fudging a ball for a better lie).
Hilarious.

On a side note, Dallas was truly getting some really crappy spots by the refs yesterday.

Since the kickoff was a touch back, it was placed on the 20 yard line. We had to get to the 30 yard line for a first, so no need for the chains. On a touchback, since it is placed on the twenty, the refs know that anything on or past the 30 is a first down.

I'm not sure but I would imagine somewhere in the rule book they have something that covers players deliberately moving the ball once it has been spotted by the official.

Romo has perfect Hoculi form on that first down motion, backswing included.
