Tony Dorsett-Prettiest Running Back Ever

Oh I do...

Love watching them on YouTube but no way it's as awesome as watching them live. I saw Emmitt break the record and join the Cardinals but he was a shell of what he once was by then.

hey young buck..you tube dorsetts games in college when he played against notre dame and georgia, you will be amazed!!

A pretty Clinton Portis.

for the record if dorsett had the line emmitt had, he would have had 30,000 yards at the end of his career..emmitt is a hall of famer, but his lack of speed held him back from having a chance to reach such a feat, emmitt got ran down from behind alot when it was nothing but endzone in front of him..dorsett got ran down once when darrell green came from the other side of the field and dragged him down, that didnt happen much..WAIT it just happen once!!

Loved TD. Man, its too bad we don't have the Cardinals in the division to beat up on twice a season anymore.

Watching again I like that run at the end starting at 6:07. Showed a little bit of everything....acceleration, moves, strength. Always going forward at high speed. You see guys running with their head down as hard as they can and he is gliding by them.

Two different types of runners...TD could break one at anytime but Emmit moved the chains. They were perfect for the types of offensive systems the Cowboys had during their time. Dorsetts offensive line wasnt too shabby either.

Anyone have any footage of when TD and Herschel shared the same backfield? Funny that Herschel would share the backfield with both TD and Emmit before we was done.

TD remains my favorite Cowboy runner of all-time, no disrespect to DeuceDeuce. The threat of him housing a short screen from anywhere on the field was worth watching every play. He was truly a brilliant runner in an age when running the football really was important.

You must be really young not to have seen Emmitt...

I saw his last year or so...you do know he retired what...10 years ago now?

Sad to say that those of us who didn't get to see this team make noise in the postseason really aren't all that young anymore.

Im a lucky one, I was fortunate to see them all going back to 1971. My kids unfortunately only have caught the Dave Campo era to the present. I feel for them and feel for you. Youre right a whole generation has passed, I guess thats why to a lot of old timers on this board where the Cowboys are now is very frustrating, but hopefully you wil see playoff success from this team soon.

Watching that video, watching Tony run, hearing Landry, Staubach, and D. White, ... seeing old Texas Stadium, ... man how far we have fallen.

TD, Eric Dickerson were the prettiest I have personally seen. From highlights I'd add Gale Sayers to that list too.

Well said. TD was my favorite when I was a kid. Amazing player.
