Lovie being talked about possibly getting the Houston job

Won't lose any if they're under contract, and we keep them to it. I want to say that we would only be obligated to let someone go if they were up for head coach. Sure, if they wanted to make Marinelli their DC, and he would just be DL coach here, we might let him go out of professional courtesy, but I don't think we'd be obligated to it.

marinelli is very loyal to lovie. we'd lose him in a heartbeat.

It isn't going to matter. Barring cruel fate, we likely win 9 games this year, which makes Garrett perfectly safe. Even if we go 8 and 8, Garrett is a most likely return.

Besides, we all know it don't matter a lick who coaches this rabble as long as Beelzebub is calling the shots in this rodeo...

Dont they automatically have to interview a black coach? Not sure how much that plays into things...

Anyway, I dont see why Cable doesnt get mentioned. He did fairly well with what he had in Oakland and seems to have the Seahawks respect.

They change too a 4-3

That means wade would be out of a job for 5 minutes. Would we give him another shot or are we dedicated to the 4-3??? Houston is 3rd in total defense even with how bad there record is. Like him or not, he's a good DC.

he's also pretty loyal to Kiffin. Why do you think he is here as a DL coach? It isn't like he wouldn't have been able to find a DC position.

Didnt he punch an assistant coach? That's probably why.

Houston's personnel is 3-4. And there defense isnt the problem. i can't see them switching to the 4-3 under lovie

So, if he.s their first interview and they want him, do they have to interview another minority to satisfy the rule?

Didnt bother Seattle and its paying off.

Cool cool. I couldn't care less about Seattle.

You acted puzzled about why cable doesn't get brought up. So I told you. It's because he punched one of his own assistants.

It doesn't bother me, but I can see why it would others.

Yes, they have to interview a black coach. No matter what. I wonder if the rule goes both ways? You have to interview a white coach too.? And Hispanic.

lol Although I wouldnt take a shine to a coach with a history of assulting coworkers being the HC of a team I owned... I like that he doesnt take any crap and has some fire to him. Im not really part of the Fire JG Team, but I wouldnt mind seeing Cable over here making the O-line legit.

Hopefully Marinelli has taken a liking to this group of players and this team in general and stays.. Hes the only one really worth being concerned about.. Eberflus and Henderson stay regardless unless fired

Perhaps Jerry has told Marinelli that he will be defensive coordinator once Kiffen quits.
