Yes, they have to interview a black coach. No matter what. I wonder if the rule goes both ways? You have to interview a white coach too.? And Hispanic.

The Rooney rule just says you have to interview a minority, there's no specific race/ethnicity mentioned.

Marinelli will not leave for Lovie. He is loyal to Kiffin and Broaddus said Marinelli wouldn't stay around if Lovie was hired as head coach for Dallas. The Texans would probably bring in Lovie as a HC and a HC at that. SOme one to be a leader and game manger but I don't see Wade going anywhere.

don't know either just what Broaddus said so go ask him. I recall last offseason when Lovie was fired he threw the defense under the table as the reason for the bears struggles, so maybe thats it. Anyways, I think Marinelli is just as loyal if not more loyal to Kiffin. He had a DC offer and he tuurned it down and came to Dallas to be the DL coach.

If we miss the playoffs and Opie gets fired, how about we hire Wade back if the Texans hire Lovie and change to 43?

He did win us a playoff game when he was here ..........just a thought

Lovie threw the defense under the bus? That's odd, lovie is a defensive minded coach. So he basically threw himself under the bus. I just don't want to see marinelli leave.

Also mentioned are Gruden but they said he was not interested. Shanahan if Washington fires him also mentioned.

Chucky loves him some big D.

He is going to wait and see if Garrett blows the division and gets fired.

The last thing Broaddus said about that was if Lovie gets a HC gig, you should be worried that Marinelli will leave. That doesn't jive with your interpretation.

I just don't see Houston firing Wade. I think they will bring in a game manager HC or offensive guy and keep wade.

So some people want to see us lose to replace the HC? Aren't these the same people that say nothing is going to change as long as Jerry is alive? I just don't get wanting your team to lose so you can miss the playoffs.

I think he is trying to say that Marinelli wouldn't stay if Kiffin gets fired. If Lovie becomes the HC with another team, then that team is not firing Kiffin and therefore Marinelli would consider becoming the DC for Lovie with another team but not if Lovie was hired by Dallas. Obviously, that could all change if Kiffin voluntarily retired.

Listen..

Phillips being there is nothing but a plus for anybody coming in.

Frankly he'd easily qualified for the job.

Back to running a great team with a great organization.

I hope it works out for him.

Wouldn't that just freak out Jerry Jones.
