Per NFL Network, NFL Total Access Dallas no longer Americas Team, the Cowboys and Jerral Wayne Jones have become the laughing stock.

Primarily not being able to see why they were once great, the game hasn't changed.

Note to NFL and it's fans: "Americas team " is a nickname not a title, The Steelers were still the "Steel curtain" even after Tebow punked their defense in the playoffs a couple of years back......

The only people who care about the Americas team moniker are non cowboy fans. IMO.

It's something is rather not be attached to the team anyway.

Let the current flavor of the month team have it.

I have to clarify, Im not a fan of the moniker "Americas team" but I really can't stand the talking heads and dopey fans of other teams who argue against it

Well, it hasn't been relative for the better part of 20 years. Think about that for a second.

I often wonder if people know the history of the title of "America's Team".

Every year this cap EVERY YEAR. .. When another team gets to be a average team and still has the top 5 viewed regular season games they can take the title. When another team can be average and hold fans globally then they can have the title. I think the title is FAR more accurate now. It's EASY to love a winner but if you have more fans when you're losing shows how good you are

I'll just add this one to the list. So far we haven't been America's Team at least 1000 times the last few years. Whatever.

It definitely is bothersome.

It's used every offseason as a talking point to keep people interested.

Whether we like it or not.

The Cowboys will never stop being Americas team.

It's laughable to say the Dallas Cowboys aren't Americas Team, the ratings speak for themselves.
On the other hand I do agree that we have become the laughing stock of the NFL.

Regardless of the America's Team moniker and the history behind it...

It doesn't matter what we're called, we are the laughing stock of the NFL.

each year this becomes less and less relevant to me.

that's like Minnesota not wanting to be called The Purple People Eaters'..

or the Dolphins being undefeated the only time in NFL history..

or Pittsburg forever being associated with the Immaculate Reception.

Those teams may no longer be dominant team

but they certainly don't lose their identities.

Neither does Dallas.

We're not the "laughing stock" of anything. 8-8 is nothing to laugh at, 8-8 is the "meh" stock of the league.

Isn't this like the 10th time NFL Network has declared the Cowboys not to be "America's Team" anymore?

Only a few "elderly" Cowboy fans, .. like myself.

But now it's ... America's .500 Team.

I am one of the "elderly" and know the history. Tex Schram was a genius GM and along with his normal responsibilities as GM he was a master promoter of the Cowboys as well.

We do have the biggest fan base in America. Don't know how it gets any more America's Team-y than that, really.

They're not America's Team yet America loves to talk about them, the reality is we will always have the biggest fanbase and move the most merchandise and draw the highest ratings on a consistent basis. OAK vs DAL was the highest rated regular season game and if that doesn't tell you about the Boys drawing power then i don't know what will. Stephen A smith says the Pats should be America's team even though they haven't won since 05, but the reason they won't be is because it's hard to find a Pats fan outside of NE and it's only Brady that people really care about.

And can we please stop with this laughing stock bs, Oakland is the perfect definition of a laughing stock.

NFL films gave us the "America's Team" moniker.
