LDE Crawford DTMelton DT Donaldson RDE J Allen
LDE Bass DT Easley DT Mincey RDE Selvie
DTHayden RDE Kareem Martin

So we would need to sign Melton and Allen
Draft Donaldson 1st
Easly 2nd
Martinn 3rd or 4th

Just a thought want to get my fellow Zone brothers and sisters thoughts is it realistic or a long shot pipe dream?

Pipe dream due to Allen who will want more than we would probably give.

I thought that maybe the case after Peppers signed for the amount GB gave him. What about the draft choices Thanks for input BP

I assume u mean donald in the 1st and easly in the 2nd. I'd be thrilled with that line. But I'd be satisfied without allen and two studs in the middle. Perfect example would be Jacksonville old line with Stroud and Henderson in the middle, they commanded so much attention all Jacksonville needed was average de play to have a top rated defense.

Issues would be

Allen is very unlikely
Both Melton and Donald are 3t DT and Donald is on the smaller side so I would not want both him and Melton starting
Also Easley is a big question mark at this time

A better chance of signing Ayers and Melton... Not a great chance, but better.

No problems for me with Donald.

Easley is the question mark. Could be a steal but that is a big gamble with his injury history

Yes I figured Easily fingers crossed would drop do to knee issues cause I cant see us keeping Melton for the next five years we could plug Easily next to Donaldson

Sounds wonderful! It's definitely a pipe dream though because Melton and Allen won't fit under the cap unless we restructure contracts and Allen won't sign unless he gets big money. He said he'd rather walk away if he didn't get paid big and I doubt Dallas would cut Ware and then go give another old declining guy big money unless it was one year or something.

I don't think they want to restructure so I'm thinking Melton is going to be pushing it and maybe they can grab a guy like Ayers, Wootton or Carrington. I think we'd be lucky to have a combo from there at this point.

I love Donald and Easley, I think both would be great picks but I think if they got Melton they might go somewhere else than Donald since they both play 3T and I doubt they wanna move either. Jernigan or Barr(if there) might be a possibility, maybe a safety or OT. I'd be fine with it though, I would make them work at the 1 and 3, especially considering Melton is fairly unknown right now with the injury.

Lot's of options right now, Dallas just has to get it right and this FA situation is delicate at the moment with Melton doing an extended visit in Seattle.
