Dallas really needs Melton. I guess Allen is the focus now.

I'm extremely surprised. We usually close the deal. This seemed like one of those highly logical matches ala Carr in 2012.

Maybe JJ has learned to have some discipline ? Don't keep driving up the price.
If the deal isn't there then don't force the issue. Good for you JJ. Not so good for the DL though.

This is just a strange situation. He has visited Minnesota where he would probably be a reserve, Seattle as well.

Now St. Louis? He's not starting there over Brockers, and maybe even not over Kendall Lankford.

Maybe he is finding that the market for an injured DT isn't as brisk as he thought? To him and his agent he is still a Pro bowl DT.

Its a game of chicken to see who blinks first

We need him but would not want to overpay

i doubt he gets paid more by any of these teams so chances are he will come back, hopefully we can hold our water and get him at a reasonable price

He left never a good sign.

It's a blessing in disguise. STL signs Melton and we trade up to get Clowney.

Just looking for the team that will pay the most. Why we should walk away.

Nothing wrong with Melton looking for the team that will pay the most.

Coming off a season ending injury makes you stare your NFL mortality in the eye.

I hope you are joking because this team should in no way trade away a butt load of picks to go up and get clowney.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Good. The NFL success rate of paying big money to free agents from another team and have it be worth it in your system is pretty low.

Not when you have the same system, the only system, they have had success in.
