If the Patriots are interested in QBs and they have Brady, why don't we?

They also invested a draft pick in Mallett, whom they are about to lose after this season after not getting a single meaningful snap out of him, if they don't trade him to someone (smart money says they will trade him) and they need to fill that void.

I always liked Mallet and the Pats got a steal when they drafted him in the third. I would have no problem with Dallas trading for him and get rid of Orton.

Actually, I think if you read the reports the Cowboys have shown interest in about 12 QBs. So it would seem to me that we are, whether we know the Patriots are or aren't is irrelevant. Do I think we will go QB in round 1? No, and I don't think they will either.

I don't think QB is on their list of must-do.

Weeden is the insurance now behind Orton if something happens to Romo.

So drafting a QB seems pretty remote if you ask me.

The thing about it is..

..if after this year we actually improve and draft lower next year becuz of it..

..that really means drafting a QB if needed will be more difficult.

So drafting one now if presented with a good opportunity would seem prudent.

If Romo doesn't come back as expected..

That really throws 2015 into big turmoil as deciding if Investing in Orton or Weeden become the option..

..having a rookie on staff would be very inciteful.

The difference between the Pats and Cowboys is nothing more than Tom Brady.

I would say that the coach and management is the difference. When Brady went down to injuries, the Pats never missed a beat. They have the best coach in the game.

Due diligence by one of the most professional Teams in the World of sports the New England Patriots and they have two Starting QBs with Ryan Mallet waiting in the wings.

The 2014 Draft is ripe for picking a Franchise QB....Belichick is a true football guy so he realizes some things wanna-be football guys fail to see.

And also is ripe for picking a bust for a supposed Franchise QB.

Tom Landry won with all of his quarterbacks. But he only won championships with Roger. There is not really a pile of great quarterback prospects. If you get 2 it's a great draft.

If Mallett hasn't already started challenging for playing time, then he probably isn't The Guy.

I suspect that Johnny Manziel is going to go No. 1 to Houston, btw. If he i going top 5 anyway, I can't imagine them passing on their only chance to make up ground on the Cowboys in this state.

I'm starting to think JM is their pick as well.

They've been very fortunate to have found Brady.

As we have been to have found Romo.
