49ers are one of the best teams in the NFL bc they have a great defense. Y do u think they keep bringing aldon smith back no matter what he does? Martin got destroyed by bama.

When SF drfated their lineman were they the best defense in the league? Or did they just keep making sensible picks?

Henderson was the number 1 recruit out of high school, miami can't coach, he will go to the NFL and dominate.

You realize you just said a page ago that Miami produces the best NFL talent right? Which is it? What are you under the influence of? Did you buy it from Seantrel himself?

Do I really need to pull up the footage of Pryor and Ha-Ha getting absolutely smoked time and time again?

You're delusional, kid.

yea when people remember that seattle team, they will rave about the offensive line. anything that D did was on teh way side. ok.

Check out their roster and tell me who was there at 16 that compares to someone on that defense AND wouldn't be a total reach. In fact, show me someone even if they are a reach...

He is nothing to get excited about, but it did upgrade a position on the OL. There was not many options the way it played out.

Then you trade down and get more picks since you have multiple areas of need . . .

As opposed to previous draft situations, this would have been a perfect time for us to trade down.

let me be very clear on this, im not arguning that you are wrong. im not saying the pick was wrong, i am saying, a good chance to clean up at safety and i feel Dallas missed on the opp. All im saying,
Better yet how about you
okay if its the one player who made both mistakes, do you blame the rest of them? Seriosuly? The guy made the mistake the first time. This is the for the SB, not the first game of the year. You remove him plain and simple. Im not blaming the whole special teams because the Coach failed to make the correct call.
Actually the special teams was against the Giants who they didn't play in the SB.

Not really sure how your argument is suppose to say how drafting 3 OL in the first round lost those games.

We have no 1 to rush the qb and the worst secondary in the NFL, but we have Martin.

Just to spite you, I hope we draft a RT 1st in the 2015 draft to replace Free :)

Relax, there will still be players to be picked up after cuts that can be rotated in and out, we just need Melton to be 100% healthy and for Selvie to progress even further. Seattle rotates guys in and out and none of them are absolute studs, just fresh, decent/good players. I am more concerned with the secondary at this point.

You realize that in order for us to trade down, we have to have a trade partner, right? This isn't Madden where you go into trade mode and the game simulates options and you pick one.

The density in this place on draft week could implode the sun.

You have to have someone agree to trade with you. Stephen was on the phone several times. There were obviously no takers. Kind of impossible, when nobody is there to trade with.

I realize that . . . at the same time, since none of us was in the war room, maybe they did have a trade partner. We'll never know.

Whatever . . . Rah Rah Rah . . . It's is a beautiful pick . . . Championship . . . bring out the Lombardi.

Dude that's not necessary, nobody here said anything about Martin leading us to the super bowl. It was already said they tried to trade down but couldn't.

Not in the war room but could watch it

The thing is, you're the one accusing them of not trading, not us. You're the one creating a fictional scenario that "should have" happened instead of accepting we got hand down the best player available who also just so happened to fill a need.

How can you reprimand them for something you perceive they didn't do and then have the audacity to say, "none of us was in the war room, maybe they did have a trade partner. We'll never know." Thats not just glaringly audacious, it hypocritical.

Not what I said.

You said that you don't draft a G in the first round to win a Super Bowl and used Seattle as a model which is a team that drafted a G in the first round and won a Super Bowl.

Love how people like to twist things just to argue for the sake of arguing...smh.

Hey, but you're in luck. This thread is not nearly as bad as another where some idiot is saying winning in the trenches is overrated.

I would just like to say that you don't have to win the same way that the Seahawks win.

I am not upset with the pick at all I just had my heart set on Manziel but that Martin pick was excellent and probably best for the team.

oh well, in case you missed last year, defense was the big problem, you might have heard. One team we didnt bother stopping, one team we had the lead on and threw that away and another team decided since we were going to give the game away in teh last minute, heck why not take it and they did. All of those problems were on the offensive side of the ball, oh wait, yes according to our draft it was.

It's been one pick.... lol there was literally nobody worth 16th pick. We invested a 3rd in another safety past year. How bout see if the guy has anything before giving up on him?

Come on, Dude...use your noggin. Which of these scenarios is more likely?

1) Dallas had a willing trade partner, and even with the obvious holes on defense, chose to turn down a deal
2) Dallas had nobody willing to trade, so Dallas took the BPA

You're right---we'll never "know". Then again, I think we already do.
