WWE CEO Vince McMahon Loses $350 Million, A Third Of His Fortune, In A Day

So what's the entertainment value in watching it? Grown men pumped up on steroids doing things in the ring that everyone but 10 people know it's fake? Again, where's the entertainment in that?

We get it. You don't like it. Good for you.

Don't watch anymore TV shows or movies. They're fake.

Jesus that line is about the dumbest line ever used by someone to not watch something.

Oh no. Its fake!!! You can't watch that.

Then those people go and turn on their fake TV shows and movies and pretend like they're watching something that isn't fake.

I wonder if people are dumb enough to walk up to those big wrestlers & call them fake?

Surely some of those guys were football players at one time.

If you can't see the difference, then there's no need to carry this any further.

By "many" if you mean perhaps 10% then you are right.

No one over the age of 10 believes it's real.

I have another question for you or anyone else. Why is that Cena guy so unpopular? I hear people saying he sucks on the show.

I really do not like him myself & don't think he's very good talking. He just sort of goes on & on. He's kind of lame actually but I was just wondering.

- Tired of his gimmick
- Think he's Hulk Hogan all over again
- Think he hogs the spotlight
- Feel he can't wrestle

There are more articles out there but those give a good sampling of reasons people are hating on Cena. I give him credit for what he does as a man with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Other than that I'm ready to move on. Now my 8 year old thinks he's great. I'm wondering how long that will last.

Yeah some of them came from real sports. The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, played college football at Miami I think it was. Mark Henry, the world's strongest man, actually really WAS just that a time or two from winning the "strong man" competition. And some of them actually were world class wrestlers, including Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle who won Olympic gold. Just a few examples.

I have to agree that just from a brand new viewer his wrestling does not impress me. And I hate when he talks. He tries way too hard to be funny. I just don't care for him. He's cheesy.

The actor Dwayne Johnson was a football player? That's very cool.

Thanks for the education.

Lesnar was a UFC champ for a while, as well.

I think fans liked him as the "Dr. of Thuganomics" but I think they know that his gimmick wouldn't put him in the position that he is in now. At best, he probably would have a couple of years main eventing and then go back to midcard status. I think fans are turning on him because they don't like PG entertainment and they know Cena is a way better entertainer if WWE had TV-14 programming.

For the same reason everybody goes to the movies etc. What part don't you get?

I'm not trying to convince you not to watch. Just don't get the appeal unless you're into mindless entertainment. There is something to be said for that at times.

I would like you to explain the difference in fake.

It's fake fighting, fake scenerios, and fake plots on wrestling as well as 95% of movies out there. So please explain to me the difference in the types of fake.

I'm sure you won't. You'll respond with that type of response, as all others have done when they've been challenged to explain how one type of fake entertainment is different from another type of fake entertainment. Even though they're exactly the same type of fake things (as listed above).

Yep.

And even the "reality" shows are manipulated by the producers and the editing process.

Because Breaking Bad, etc. don't pretend to be real like Pro Wrestling does. Duh....

Uhhh huh....lol. Ok.

You should have went with the other explanation. It would have been way better.

Most wrestlers won't make a stink about it being fake. It is all scripted and such but there are still real injuries and wear and tear on the body.

However back in the day they did do what they could to hide that it was fake.

Yes way back in the early 90's they stopped portraying it as real. No one whose over the age of 10 believes it's real anymore cause its not even marketed that way and hasn't been in forever.

Hell they call it Sports Entertainment at every turn. It's been around 2 decades at this point since anyone attempted to sell it as real and not scripted.
