After a brave several month battle with liver cancer Scout passed away this afternoon. His magnificent spirit and gusto for life as well as his unconditional love were second to none. We rescued you from the pound and gave you 110% and you in return gave back something that was truly priceless and will never be forgotten.
RIP you wonderful boy.
I love you Scout...

Here you go. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your loss
seems like a great dog.
I'm sure if Scout could talk he say:
"Thanks for saving me, it was a great ride!.
Guess what, all the pain is gone!
I miss you too
I'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge!
No need to hurry, I'll wait"

I'm very, very sorry to hear that, my heartfelt condolences go out to you and yours.

That really blows man. I am sorry for your loss and can relate. Best wishes

Sorry for the loss, dogs are truly wonderful animals.

<---- Petey also sends condolences.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been there many times. Just be glad that you gave the dog a great life and he gave you many memories in return.

Heart goes out to you, I know how it feels to lose the companionship that our K9 friends bring to our lives.

So sorry about your dog. Not that this will make you feel better, but withing the last 8 months I had to put to sleep 2 Chihuahuas that I have had for about 14 years. And now I'm dealing with the third Chihuahua who has diabetes and has to have two shots a day and is gone blind. But, she is still a happy little creature, Tressa.

But, I still have them because I got them cremated and put into a little wooden box with their names on it.

Shasta - a female Brindle

Oscar - a rear Blue

I have had animals, dogs and cats, and have been through the misery of losing them, and now I am not sure if I ever want to get another pet because of the emotional attachment.

Sorry to hear. I'm sure you gave Scout a life many dogs just dream of.

One of mine is also called Scout.

We are on our fourth and fifth Springer Spaniels, and letting go of the first three was very hard. But we realize that they were only "on loan" to us, and our job was to give them the best life possible. They, in turn, rewarded us ten fold! Although the pain of their loss is great, I could never deny another pup a great life!
What would their life have been like if you weren't their keeper?? I've often heard our friends state that, if there was reincarnation, they wanted to come back as one of our dogs.....That's when you know you've done your job! So sorry for your loss!

So sorry.
We lost our shepherd/corgi mix last year.

Tears you apart.
Over and over for a while.

RIP
