That is not what you said. You asked for examples and were given two. At least you have moved the goalpost from your original blanket dismissal. I am comfortable with saying that I don't know. I can live with uncertainty.

The question was rhetorical. Everyone pretty much agrees that missing time for any reason isn't good, but in Brent's case well just have to settle on uncertainty. Okay, haha. Whatever works for you.

You know, the funny thing is that I do the same exact thing they do... only I do it on a Commander board. (I do let them know I'm a Dallas fan though).

When you are trying to find negatives about a team and want to peeve off fans of that team, you tend to say that players aren't any good and then when that player get cut/hurt/traded... you tend to say that the team is going to miss him. It is the natural course of things when you're looking for negatives. Always looking for the negative angle when talking about the Commanders. Or Philly. Or NYG.

It is pretty difficult for me to fathom wanting to do that to your own favorite team.

What is crazy though is that they call themselves realists, implying that they see things realistically while the homers don't, when they are in fact skewing things just as far from reality as the guys who are always thinking positively.

They have a word for that, trolling.

I know it was rhetorical. What did you think i meant with the whole "assume that its true' part? That is the point of a rhetorical question and what i did is an example of how to argue it.

And you're moving the goalposts again. i don't care what you assume will be the outcome of an uncertain circumstance. I take issue with the notion that he has no chance which was what your rhetorical question was getting at.

I love how the ignore feature even gets rid of quotes.

I love that, I also love how you can click on "Show Ignored Content" when one of them is getting smacked down to read the whole thing. I don't do it often, but sometimes its worth it.

When I heard Dallas had traded for someone I felt positive about it, then I hear the "experts" on NFLN say Green can be a good special teamer and practice squad candidate and I think What The Frig? We have an abundance of that level of player. Hoping the experts are underselling Green,,,

My original statement was that he won't be in any shape to help right away.

Take issue with whatever you want.

JustinGreen is better than some of you realize. The Pats secondary is loaded plus Bass fits that D better, IMO.

I think it's likely the team felt there was a good chance Bass would have been cut with the presence of Davon Coleman and Ken Bishop being probable to displace him on the roster. It's also not too hard to picture Green being more desirable than BW Webb.

I guess McClay missed the scouting report on Bass from Hatcher. ;)

He was a pet cat of mine, I like rooting for the underdog. And I took Hatcher seriously and figured he knew what he was talking about. Maybe he does - I'll give it some time for before closing the book on him.

The way this team makes moves, I wouldn't be shocked if Bass turns into something for the Patriots and Green is cut before the final 53.

Oh that was not a criticism on your part mang. I just don't have to deal with them anymore and my experience has improved. If I want to laugh at people as they get trolled, there are much better places for that.

Yeah. It's not even clever trolling. Clever trolling is funny.

They instead inspire to be the Anthony Randolph of trolling.

So this thread was useless. No actual conversation. Just hyperbole. Pessimism. And one liners. I'd try to talk about what this means but i'm sure if anyone would listen.

The season cannot get here soon enough.

Oh good Lord don't start. Are we going to trade Ben Bass jokes for Justin Green ones?

This is a bag of footballs trade for both sides.

Don't get your panties in a wad.
I didn't say Green was some special player at all. Not remotely. I just said he may be better than some think--which should be easy, given the zero expectations.
If he can make the team...IF...then he quite possibly will have done better than what Bass may have done.

Darrel Revis and Logan Ryan were ahead of him on the depth chart.

Didn't see this anywhere today except on bottom of Cowboys practice report. Ben Bass was traded to NE for CB Justin Green.

Was Bass still hurt? Surprising we'd trade a DL for a CB given Scandrick is back for week 5
