We have four below average QBs in that span.(Eli included) I think while we have a great chance to win those while getting everyone healthy, and back from taking Molly. I seriously think we could be gaining momentum...

Do you remember what below average QB's did to us last year?
Ah, 2013. The memories. Yes, I recall seeing Josh McCown on a cold day last season. He was grilling steaks in the offensive backfield. The Dallas defense was invited to the barbeque but they could never seem to get past the offensive line backfield security. He was also enjoying a cold beverage before each pass attempt. Happy times.

:(

I've said it once, and I'll say it again.

I predict that the Cowboys will win their first game against the Niners, and everything after will be glorious.

When the Cowboys lose their first game of the season in Week 17 when they rest their starters, the forum will go into complete meltdown mode as fans will want the heads of Jerry and Garrett.

Meanwhile, a QB controversy will arise as Brandon Weeden goes 12 - 25, 145 Yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs in a fantastic performance against Washington in the loss. The usual suspects will point to these statistics as the ideal way for a QB to preform and ask why Romo can't do the same every week.

As the Cowboys go 15-1 and are the #1 seed in the NFC, they go 2 - 0 in the playoffs, defeating the Bucs in the divisional game and the 49ers in the Championship game.

Lastly, the Cowboys beat the Broncos in the Super Bowl 43 - 8. Demarcus 2.0 will sack Manning 6 times, and Demarcus 1.0's head will explode.

Calvin Watkins, having nothing stupid and idiotic to say, will retire from ESPN and slink back to New York where he can suck his thumb and snuggle his Eli Manning blankie.

Finally. The universe will be in order.

And did you see the players those QB's were playing against?
I think we have a few better / healthier players now. kind of...meaning they will be back, not out for the year.
They had street guys replacing street guys last year.

Im prepared for a pretty bad season just because theres only maybe Melton who teams have to worry about on defense. next year though I think there will be very strong push to build defense line and linebackers. once Garrett gets some talent in there with draft or FA it can get very exciting. the team will be really young and strong enough then, yes Garrett will have his feet over the fire lol.

SF /Kapearnick, still will be a challenge, but contain him, he can be above average still, but we can still have some success. But key will have a lead in the game.
Tenn. / Locker, we should be fine here. Could be tougher than we think though.
St. L. / Hill, I bet Rams fans believe Hill will be their next Warner, as when he took over for Trent Green.
N.O. / Brees, nothing to say, ouch on this one.
Houston / ?, who is their QB anyway.
Seahawks / Wilson, I'm worried more about their defense, but Wilson still very good. Keep him to short passes, hope for mistakes, create TO's.
Giants / Eli, well, he will have 6 games to get himself together, is that enough time.

If offense is as good as it should be, and defense just improves enough, we should be in decent shape. 5-2 would be great, 4-3 still wouldn't be too bad at that point.

When will you all get it?

There are no average or below average QB's when facing us. Garbage or not, players and teams wake up to play us. They love it, and are ready.

Let's not get to excited, and just see how this plays out, because the same people looking ahead and scratching off wins, will be the same ones when things go south, to come on here and start bashing the team, Jerry, Red, Romo and start throwing in the towel.

First 7 games? I'm already onto the next season, bro.

Just kidding, I honestly think we'll shock a lot of people week 1 with our defense just like we did last year. Our defense came out week 1 and played a very good game creating 6 turnovers, and against the 49ers I think we will have a very similar performance. I don't know if we'll win, but I bet it's a close game in the 4th qtr. As for the other 6 games, I haven't even looked at who we're playing.

We actually do usually beat the teams we should beat and lose to the good ones. One nice thing about 8-8 is that it means you actually did win half your games. We like to pretend we don't for whatever reason, but it's not the case.

Since I have been a Cowboys fan (1965) I take no games for granted, I see every game as a possible win and a possible loss. Nothing new for me regardless of which past team we are talking about or even this team. No doubt some teams we will face present a bigger challenge but I don't concede games and I hope the players on this team will not concede anything to any team out there.

I'm not a doom & gloom guy, but for many of those games we had Lee, Hatcher, & Ware.

Yes, this is true.

Also, we do win those games. We also struggle with the QB's, we think we are supposed to feast off of. Then everyone comes in here, on suicide watch. Bashing Wade Philips, Monte Kiffin, Ryan. Then Jerry some how becomes involved, always.

ahhh, excuse me - but we can't stop anyone from running on us at will so how is this "below-average QB" theory of yours supposed to matter ? And usually average and below-average QB's have career days against us. Put the Kool-Aid down.

Well, that happens (the suicide watch) whether we win or lose.

I'll have to go back and look at the record. I know we can't beat good teams, and we beat the bad ones, and was just assuming that correlated pretty closely with good QB play v. bad QB play. You're probably referring to games like the CHI or GB games last year where backups beat us, but those games aren't really the norm, and those teams were getting good QB play, fwtw.
