Looking for Dell I5. Off Tiger Direct site or in house.
8GM RAM
1TH HD.

Thoughts....

I'm on my 5th Dell Latitude in 5 years... my company has a contract with them... :-(

I would look at Asus or Lenovo...

Look in the Dell outlet, I always buy my laptops and PCs there and get good deals.

Never buy an Alienware laptop! They over heat, like nobody's business.

Building your own isn't a bad option. Mine still runs like new after 3 years.

i build all my own pc's for the most part and yea, this can be a viable option. however, the cost can run higher than buying a complete branded system. keep in mind the OS will be around $120 unless you go linux. also you have to warranty parts by the piece and some people are just not comfortable building a pc.

I do the same thing. You can typically get some pretty good deals on hardware at Fry's when they put a good CPU/MB combo on sale. I built my son a heck of a gaming computer. The software is where it gets expensive but it is well worth it IMHO.

Thank you.
Tiger Direct had a Dell I5 / 3.20 gig / 8G RAM / 1 TB HD for $479.
I am not into the bulid it yourself.

Any of the major brands will be comparable. Get the best specs for your money.

My last PC was a Dell XPS 720. Lasted 7 years!

Just bought a new one. Went pre-built.

Liked what Digital Storm had to offer. If I built it myself would have only saved 50 or so dollars.

Got this when it was a 100 dollar off.

Dig the machine so far. Does what I need it to do. I develop software, play video games, and watch movies on it.

Whatever you do, get a SSD. Night and day difference.
