Cowboys Injury Update: Edwards, Selvie Limited

One new name popped up on the Cowboys' injury report on Thursday.

That newcomer was reserve defensive end Lavar Edwards (LSU), who was limited with a knee injury. Defensive end George Selvie (South Florida) is nursing a shoulder issue and was limited as well. Fellow end Anthony Spencer (knee, Purdue) and offensive tackle Darrion Weems (shoulder, Oregon) did not participate — those two have both missed significant time — and special teams ace C.J. Spillman (groin, Marshall) and linebacker Justin Durant (Hampton) sat out Thursday's practice as well.

Spillman said earlier this week he plans to play Sunday, while Durant has a groin injury that will sideline him for the next three or four games.

For those who may be a bit paranoid about Tony Romo's (Eastern Illinois) back, he was a full participant once again. Same goes for receiver Terrance Williams (Baylor), offensive guard Zack Martin (Notre Dame) and defensive tackle Terrell McClain (South Florida).

We are thin on the DL with all the injuries.

If they d-line is unable to get a sack in the next few games then I do not see why they wouldn't give him a shot if he was improving on the PS.

I think they (d-line) will get multiple sacks this week, though.

Edwards hold on a roster spot will be in danger if he's not playing. They will need to cut somebody if Scandrick returns.
