Where's al the why did we draft this guy threads....
He got open, in back of the endzone, for a critical TD at the time, we needed that.

Not sure how many snaps he got in, but he seemed to have a decent game.

Looking at who went around that pick, odds are we would have botched it anyways

The guy caught one easy TD pass. Let's not act like he's been a major factor in the Cowboys offense.

Escobar was a wasted pick. 1 TD and a catch here and there doesn't change that.

I'd rather have Marty B or Fasano and have used our 2nd round pick elsewhere.

Does it look to anyone else like Escobar plays with absolutely ZERO confidence?

To me he still looks like a green as grass rookie who lets other, more aggressive players push him around and steal his lunch money.

I still think he can be a good player, but isn't Hanna getting a lot more snaps these days? That dude has really launched his blocking to a new level.

OMG a 2nd round pick barely plays and makes a couple plays here and there in his 2 years here.

Success!!

This was a pick because of the two TE passing offense they were planning on using as a staple that has essentially been scrapped.

Let's just be happy that this team has a bread-and-butter they have no identified with. A strong running-game, with a heavy dose of play-action passing, that is effectively targeting Dez as the number 1 WR. You don't need plenty of weapons that one is always trying to force creative ways into using them at the expense of what your strengths truly are. If Escobar catches a couple of TDs in a season with Witten as the man at TE still, while doing his job blocking, one should probably live with it.

He put his helmet on correctly.

Where are all the haters now? Not united with me, that's for sure.

I'm not even saying he is a bad player either. I think he's got some good qualities. It was just not a good pick for this club.

Glad he produced Sunday still doesn't make it a smart draft choice.

Wasn't it 2 td

I couldn't disagree more. Time will tell though.

But I'm noticing that many posters don't see value in a player that doesn't get a whole lot of snaps right away.

It's nice to be able to draft a player and give him some room to develop because there are competent veterans on the team.
