but they were sure quick on the whistle with the great play by terrell..

andre was still fighting on that play.

I think they called it more so because he was pushed back to or 3 yards while still in McClain's grasp, and for a moment he stopped. If not for that whistle, I think the play would have stood as a fumble.
But could see why, in a small way it was stopped.

Yea, terrible call. Officials have really screwed the Cowboys this year on turnovers in which they blow the whistle early.

I understand forward progress. And I understand the whistle being blown. It is a human regulated game.

But I also believe this league, if they really want to create a just and entertaining product, then allowing review of this type of mis-call would be excellent.

He was losing the ball because of the hit. They were fighting for the ball. Forward progress does not fit this scenario.

However, we still got the Landry Hitch.

My honest opinion is that everything should be reviewable. If it's a call that's subject to human error (i.e., judgment), then it's precisely the type of play that should be reviewable.

It would be a tricky review because it could be unfair to the player who lost the ball. You're taught to play to the whistle. Once a player hears that whistle, the play is over and you can let up. Anything that happens from that point on is irrelevant.

The whistle should have never been blown.

Thats fine if they want to quick whistle forward progress play cool be consistent. there was one play where it seemed they waited for the whole giant D to dog pile him before calling forward progress.

The funniest part was winning the challenge on a spot, and then having the refs re measure. There was some biased officiating this game.

Even then the ball was supposed to be on the half yard marker. Looked like they move it to the 3/4 marker

The whistle should've really been irrelevant or never occurred. Dude lost possession of the ball waaaaay before the bogus whistle.

And one ref inches it up while another inched it back. I've never seen refs try so hard to give a team a first down. Just crazy officiating.
