For people who don't think Dez deserves elite money

TD Receptions - 33 - 1st in NFL

Receiving Yards - 3,408 - 4th in NFL

Catches - 241 - 5th in NFL

Just turned 26 this past week, only ONE player in NFL history has gotten off to a faster pace of scoring TDs more frequently than Dez Bryant, and his name is Randy Moss.

That spells E-L-I-T-E

Only poorly run franchises would give high guaranteed amount in this situation. In any case its moot point because Dallas will franchise him at $13 million for next two years if they can't agree. Don't forget, overpaying players is how we got into the jam we are currently in. I want Dez to get paid but I agree with Wood in that the guaranteed portion needs to be controlled. Sometimes players who get a ton of money lose their passion and desire.

what he deserves and what we can afford to pay is much different. murray deserves to be paid, leary deserves to be paid and soon the whole oline will deserve to get paid. you can't pay everyone elite money and keep a complete team. dez has to come down some, the team may need to come up some. we can't pay him megatron money but if he wants to stay here he will be paid top 5 money and be set for life.

Just curious...what are the bad habits you speak of? Work ethic has never been a question. He's a vicious competitor who has always strived to be the best. Are we worried he assaults his mom again???? Get a citation for wearing his pants low in public???? Please

Now if the team philosophically doesn't agree with paying a WR elite money, that's one thing. But there is nothing known by the PUBLIC that would indicate the team would be worried particularly about giving the individual Dez Bryant a huge contract for fear he may start screwing up or falling back on "bad habits".

Make the guaranteed portion based on conduct to the team and the league. Example he gets say 20mil for services rendered. Another 25 mil with conduct and performance guaranteed.

You realize he's been on the team since 2010, right? Randy Moss had 17 TDs his rookie season, and it took Dez 2.5 years to match that production.

I don't think people believe Dez doesn't deserve elite money. I think people just question should we do it and for how much. If elite money is what Victor Cruz and Jordy Nelson got than i'm for it. If elite money is what Calvin and Fits got....i'm not for it.

But as a fan of Dez....I hope he gets his value. I hope he gets his money. HE's worked hard for it.

Well I think its a bit early to start comparing him to one of the greatest receivers of all time lol. I think the OP was just showing how solid he's been since 2012. There's no question like MOST rookie receivers he struggled out of the gate. Hard to fault a rookie for playing like a.....rookie.

I think Dez is looking for a lot more than top 10 money. It will likely cost Dallas an avg of 12 mill a year that puts him in the top 3 in the NFL. Only CJ and Fitz would be making more

Only think I would be concerned about is publicity end of the JayZ ROCnation group. As long as Dez continues to put the game above any endorsement deals or appearances then fine.

I think he will get that, I think the hard part for the organization is how they can structure it so that other key players will be able to get signed. As much as I like Dez the offense has to be more than him and Romo

I am just questioning his stats. AJ Green had 29 TDs in his first 3 full seasons. Dez had 27.
