I understand your frustration with those who are upset with the specific DC regime. And I assume your on the "keep things as they are" approach and things will get better. IMO the last thing these zoners are doing is hating on the franchise. On the contrary, they're so passionate about this franchise winning, they're upset with the same old inconsistent team leading to the same result. You know the definition of stupidity? Trying to do the same thing the same way over and over again expecting different results right? We have been beating our heads against the wall of mediocrity with the same cast of characters for many years. The only hate I see is the hate of losing or mediocrity. The DC have made slight modifications with coordinators and some good things have happened however the way we lost this last game looks like the Decembers of old and our experiences over the last 18 years. Was it the Eagles are so much better? I think our coaches got out coached and players out played. No short time travel excuses please. If this keeps happening you have to pin it on someone. Just sayin.

Then there is a way to discuss this, and peoples opinions. Not with all the stupid comments about "ginger". Have some content for discussions, but they only hve snarky comments and the same old comments.

I guess not all losses are created equal.

One loss, and now the season is over, the team is a failure, Linehan went from being a great playcaller and marked improvement over Garrett to another idiot, and Chip Kelly has redefined coaching and football.

Referendum Monday has now moved to another day of the week. The season isn't over - the Cowboys will get another crack at the Eagles. They could very well have the same record going into the rematch. I would wager that the Cowboys will not play nearly as bad as they did Thursday. Will they win? Who knows, but they have a punchers chance.

This team is not great - we all know that. They have real holes on defense, and Romo needs to be at his best for them to have a real shot. They have outperformed their numbers on defense.

First things first, though. They need to beat the Bears, which will not be easy.

It's not love for Kelly as much as it's relative to what Garrett has done in comparison during his process here which is in year 4 compared to Kelly's 2nd year.

Well, in my opinion it's a pointless comparison, and subsequently not one worth getting worked up over. As fans we could talk in circles all day about coach A's level of success and how quickly they obtained it vs coach B. We could go all around the league if we wanted to. I personally have no interest in that type of discussion, as there's a myriad of factors outside of the coach's competence that are going to affect that outcome.

My post regarding Chip was about him and him alone- not relative to Garrett. They're in 2 different situations within 2 different organizations.

And I stand by my statement that Chip hasn't accomplished anything in this league at this point.

It's widely accepted that the Cowboys were not a good team last year. Chip and his Eagles barely eeked by them to win the division and got bounced from the playoffs immediately. And as previously stated, this season is far from over. We've got a whole quarter left. We'll see what happens.

While Jerry is a terrible, delusional, egomaniac GM/owner/President/CEO/Part-time coach, he still has no control of icing his own kicker
This line got old a long time ago. Anybody who REALLY thinks Garrett is to blame for icing his own kicker is football dumb!

That's all. Back on topic...

Well he actually did ice his own kicker although I don't hold that against near as much as I do all the game / clock management gaffes he has committed over the last three years, at least two a season, that kept us out of the playoffs and losing win or go home games to division rivals to end three straight seasons. I also hold it against him when the team comes out and looks as bad as it did on Turkey day. The team had ZERO motivation Thursday and that is on the head coach.

Point well taken Jazz. Ultimately were all on the same team for the same goal. The beauty (for the lack of a better term) of the Zoners is it comes in all packages, shapes and sizes. We'll all never be in unison until that faithful day we win another bowl and even then there will be a dissatisfied consumer.

So now the narrative for Garrett defenders is flat out denial?

I knew this was a standard Jerry Jones defense but I thought Garrett fans were "smarter" than that.

The Chip love around these parts is a little much. Dude hasn't accomplished anything significant yet in the NFL. Last year they barely eeked by a mediocre Cowboys team to win what was a crappy division, only to immediately lose a home playoff game the following week. And this year is only 3 quarters of the way done. Lets see how this home stretch plays out.

Forget how it plays out. It's not about that. I think the Cowboys still have the better team.

I just think if Jason was coaching a Mark Sanchez lead team the season would be over.

Our schemes make us completely player dependent and help us none in game.

Do you credit Garret for the team being 8-4 when you and everyone else predicted much worse? Or do we only talk about Garrett and his accountability after bad performances?

Agreed. Garrett has come a long way since icing his own kicker in 2011. And I don't agree with the statement that the Cowboys had zero emotion on Thanksgiving. They were simply outplayed; and that happens a lot in the NFL. I remember DeMarco Murray trying to hurdle over an Eagle on a 3rd-and-forever play when Dallas was hopelessly behind in the second half. Was there any quit in him; for example?

I have been a Garrett critic for quite a while now. I had hoped he was turning the corner after the 6 - 1 start but I had reservations. To answer your question, no I do not routinely come on here and criticize Garrett after we play well. Heck I even defended him after the Skins game a little bit, but he is not a good coach IMHO, and I just do not think we will ever reach the Superbowl with him especially if his process requires we have superstars at every position to win. In these days of NFL parity and salary cap, coaching can make all the difference in the world and I do not see Garrett giving us any advantage and his past game / clock management mishaps is not something I can easily forgive for a guy who has been around football his entire life.
