A multi billion dollar company can't find a way to put a survey on the internet? They still have to pass out ballots? Sheesh.
Electronic or manual, doesn't matter. Most players aren't going to waste their time with it either way and I don't blame them. I wouldn't either.
Well they could certainly make it much easier to fill out by putting it online. Then with the additional billions of dollars the NFL has they could maybe donate a thousand bucks to a players charity if they fill it out. Give access to players that start or play a significant amount of plays. It would cost around a million bucks. Chump change.
Now, you're maybe onto to something to get them involved. If there's nothing in it for the players except taking up some of their time (which is heavily demanded in the first place), then I doubt the majority of them would participate. Throw in a little money/notoriety for charity, you may be talking a significant difference.
Hey, I'd happily take on Goodell's job, and for a mere 20 mill a year. I'd fund all of these special projects with the other 20 mill they'd be saving.
