Aaron Rodgers to practice Thursday; will play Sunday with torn calf muscle *merge*

I have a ton of respect for GB and all us of can feel as we choose but I do know when you walk on to the playing field if you start thinking we have to be perfect just to have a chance, they you already lost. GB will make plays no question about it but Dallas has a lot of fire power of their own both in the running game and passing game. You would think we were the Carolina Panthers coming to town with the 7-8-1. We are not we won as many reg season games as GB and Dallas should fear no one. Go out play their game

If our offense gets it going we should be okay regardless of how well Rodgers plays...

I'm giving my opinion and again I'm not saying the Cowboys can't come from behind why can't you comprehend that? I'm saying I don't see them overcoming a "10 point deficit or more" to Green Bay and Aaron Rodgers. I'm making myself as clear as possible and if the Cowboys overcome a less than 10 point deficit on Sunday to win you or someone else will claim I said the Cowboys wouldn't be able to come from behind. lol

You say you are not saying that can't but you don't see them doing it? lol If GB is up 10 points after the 1st qrt I don't see the Cowboys going into panic mode and incapable of digging themselves out of the hole. I hope it does not come to that

Well, it just has felt there was a lot of quit over the past 17 years from the Quincy Carter nightmare onwards... I agree, I don't mind losing as long as they have given it there all and the produce on the field is at least respectable...it just hasn't felt that way for a while...

I think some of those team over that period of times have quit on this team or more concerned about their own situations. I also think that has been part of the process of the last 4 years to rid this team of that.

We're a high octane offense as well, and we've been a high octane offense against better defenses.

Show me a great defense GB has dominated this year.

That doesn't matter the Cowboys haven't scored as many points as the Packers. The Packers haven't scored fewer than 26 points at Lambeau. They scored back to back 50-plus point games and scored over 40 in 2 others. It's been good defensive teams for the most part that have beaten them this season. You're asking me to show you a great defense the Packers have beaten but only one bad defensive team has beaten them and that was NO. It took a great offensive performance by the Saints to beat the Packers.

The strength of the Packers is Aaron Rodgers and the Cowboys weakness is their pass coverage. Even a bad Washington team hit the Cowboys with a big play to Jackson in the season finale. It's not going to be easy containing the Rodgers to Nelson connection that's led to several lengthy TD's. The Cowboys secondary has been burned by several runs after the catch and that's one of Jordy Nelson's strengths. We can only hope Rodgers is off his game because if he's not the Cowboys will have their work cut out for them.

What I sad is a lot clearer than what you just said. lol I didn't say the Cowboys would panic if they get down by 10 points but a lot of how they handle that situation if they do get down by 2 scores will depend on how much time is left in the game.

Yet Dallas is 7th in ints and 6th in fewest TD passes given up, I agree we give up a lot of yards but We are not giving up a lot of passes for TD's and this team manages to create turnovers.

We're bending in games but not breaking but a hot Aaron Rodgers can cause a defense that bends to break.

well yeah that has a lot to do with it when facing any team. I understand giving GB respect and credit, I just think you are not giving the Cowboys their just dues. Dallas D has been raked over the coals all year but they are creating TO 15 in the last 5 games, we do give up a lot few TD passes than the avg defense.

What I'm trying to tell you is, they didn't play anyone great this year. The only worthy teams they beat this year was New England and Detroit. They looked pathetic against Detroit the first time they faced them.

And we're not a "bad" defensive team. Are we a great defensive team? No. But we are a team that creates turnovers. Packers will have their big plays, sure, but we will too. And our defense will find a way to create a turnover or two as well.

Nothing you have described to me impresses me about the Packers. You need to stop with the doom and gloom crap and actually do the research. This team had no competition this year and the real competition they did face, they either lost or nearly lost.

and we are creating the turnovers, Dallas does not even get to this point if not for some great play buy the defense with big turnovers. Yards I don't care about, no one gets points for yards. On the other side there is a QB who has been playing hotter than Rodgers.

I've given the Cowboys credit all season but this is going to be a very difficult game for them to win. I'm not saying they can't win and it wouldn't surprise me if they do win based on how they've played this season but this is a very tough match up facing Aaron Rodgers. In 07 he darn near brought the Packers back vs the Cowboys after Favre went out and he had very little experience then. He seems dialed in every time he's faced the Cowboys. There's no QB in the league that throws the ball better than him in my opinion. It's going to take an off game by Rodgers for the Cowboys to win that's how I see it. The 4 losses the Packers have had this season Rodgers didn't play his best game. His A-game is darn near unbeatable.

If the Cowboys are going to get any turnovers on Rodgers we need to apply a lot of pressure. I mentioned in the 4 games the Packers lost this season Rodgers TD to turnover ratio was 3 to 5.

No teams are "great" this season practically every playoff team out there has had their butts handed to them at least once this season with no one winning more than 12 games. Three of the four teams that beat Green Bay ranked in the top 10 defensively. They all pressured Rodgers resulting in less than his best performances. Who cares if what I've described doesn't impress you about the Packers. Are you not impressed by Aaron Rodgers?

I agree Rogers is a beast, and the best IMO. However he does have that little calf injury deal this week. That changes a lot! ;)

It could change a lot of things and it may not change anything. Even with that injury he came back and didn't miss a beat vs the Lions. We have to pressure him and force him to move around on that calf.

It takes more than just a QB to when games. Their defense, especially against the run, is bad. Whenever their defense went up against a slightly good or great QB, their pass defense went to crap.

Their strength is Aaron Rodgers, we all know this. Their offensive line has looked better than years past, most know this as well. But you're expecting us to be the ones to go down early, I'm not. I see a defense that will allow us to play our style of football, ground and pound. I'm not worried about Romo, I know what he can do.

I think the Packers have a lot more to be worried about.

You will not find one post from me saying I expect the Cowboys to be the ones to go down early. Not once did I say that! Some of you either can't comprehend what you read or get a kick out of twisting my comments.

I don't think the defense "went to crap" against the Patriots.
